i don’t get why gen z is so obsessed with chasing a lifestyle that so many celebrities and influencers eventually admit left them feeling empty. they spend years chasing money, status, luxury, women and external validation, only to reach the top and realize none of it fixed what was broken inside. some don’t figure it out until they’re battling depression, questioning their entire existence or wishing they could escape the life they spent decades building. over the past 5 years abroad, i’ve met dozens of successful men who felt so miserable being trapped in the rat race of material possessions that they walked away from it all to live remotely, focusing on daily exercise, meditation and inner peace. that alone tells you everything. and yet, millions of brainwashed kids are still idolizing the exact same illusion. how many examples do you need? how much of your life are you willing to waste chasing things that will never give you what you’re actually looking for? at some point, you have to stop chasing cheap dopamine hits and start doing the inner work. trade fleeting pleasures for lasting fulfillment. stop living for external validation. embrace discomfort, prioritize daily effort and play the long game.
