The Brewers scored 8 runs with 2 outs in the 5th inning, the most 2-out runs in an inning in World Series history 👏

This is such a great quote from Christian Yelich to @MLBNetwork.
This is what being a fan is all about.
"We understand what this team means to people. We understand, that when the Brewers are playing well, it directly impacts the happiness of the community, and people's lives. People have grown up with this team. People have made memories with their parents, kids, best friends, and a lot of those common memories are with the Brewers. You don't take that lightly."

Since becoming Brewers manager less than three calendar years ago, Pat Murphy has achieved MLB icon status.
3-straight NL Central pennants, 2x NL Manager of the Year (deserves to win this year, too), and on the verge of delivering the Brewers franchise its first World Series.
Architect of the best clubhouse culture in the sport. Baseball history will remember this man fondly.

For those that missed it last night… Here is the 8 run inning! Zero HR, two out and two strikes hitting all over the place … vs elite WS pitching! Inject this into my veins!
The game of baseball played at its finest! Please, please, please 🙏 ALL MLB orgs.. take notice!
Baseball fans everywhere are telling you loud and clear that this is what we want! Not K or HR approach on every pitch. You can steal us all back from the college baseball world where winning team baseball is still played… only if … you start playing baseball league wide like the Brewers and Rays…

This Brewers group appears to be one of the great teams of the 21st century. When have we last seen this level of regular season dominance followed by this level of postseason dominance?

"...letting the Light of Christ in our eyes become something others can count on in their darkest hours... We can then help refocus their attention to the original source of love and light, 'the bright and morning star,' Jesus Christ."
Tamara W. Runia
"My declaration is that this is precisely what the gospel of Jesus Christ offers us, especially in times of need. There is help. There is happiness. There really is light at the end of the tunnel. It is the Light of the World, the Bright and Morning Star, the 'light that is endless, that can never be darkened.' It is the very Son of God Himself... To any who may be struggling to see that light and find that hope, I say: Hold on. Keep trying. God loves you. Things will improve."
President Jeffrey Roy Holland
"As a special witness of the name of Jesus Christ—the King of glory, the Messiah triumphant, the Bright and Morning Star, and on this Easter morn, the Resurrection and the Life—I bear my witness of Him in reverence and in gratitude."

The last man to do what he just did was Mickey Mantle, and Mantle did it in 1951.
Two games into this World Series he had multiple hits in both of them. Nobody that young has opened a World Series that way in 75 years.
Game 1 he went 2 for 4 with a run batted in. Game 2 he went 2 for 5, scored, and stole two bases.
Jackson Chourio is 22 years old. He is from Maracaibo, Venezuela, and he plays left field for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Here is the rest of the list he is on.
He has five home runs in his postseason career, which is the most anybody has ever hit for this franchise in October. The one that broke the record was a two run home run in the third inning that tied a game. He passed Prince Fielder and Orlando Arcia to get it.
He is tied with Kyle Schwarber and Juan Soto for the most postseason home runs by anybody before their 23rd birthday.
Elias has him as the 29th player in the history of the sport to homer in each of his first four multigame postseason series.
The home run that broke the franchise record left his bat at 113.3 miles an hour. That is the hardest he has ever hit a ball in the big leagues, and he did it in a playoff game he had to tie.
Here is what the people who see him every day say about him.
William Contreras, three words.
"Only 22 years."
Jake Bauers, on what Chourio tells them about big moments.
"He says he loves them. He says he lives for them."
Matt Arnold, the general manager.
"In big moments, he shines."
And Pat Murphy, who has a nickname for him.
"You never see Jack-Jack down."
Then Chourio himself, after he broke the record, sounding like somebody's kid.
"Happy. It makes me very happy, happy to know that."
"I just hope that I hit a lot more."
Be straight about the numbers, because they are not what you think. Through eleven games this postseason he is hitting .244 with two home runs and one walk. One. That is not a typo, and it is most of the scouting report on him in a single number.
He has not been good this October in the way a stat sheet measures good.
What he has been is enormous four or five times, in the innings where the whole thing was sitting there waiting for somebody.
And the franchise he plays for has existed since 1969 and has never won a World Series. They got there once, in 1982, and lost it to St. Louis in seven games.
Fifty seven years of that, and the man they are leaning on turns 23 in March.
