GPT-5.6 is reportedly dropping tomorrow. 1.5M token context, expanded reasoning, browser automation built in. Every major release this year has moved faster than the last. The pace isn't slowing.
Accenture funds $29 a month of Claude per person; the rest hits project budgets. AI is following cloud's path: chargeback arrives before maturity.
Dropping the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra users is the real news; the rename is cosmetic. Heavy users are now treated as a segment, not an edge case.
Weβre renaming our Max plans:
Max 5x β Max
Max 20x β Ultra
Max is still $100/month, and Ultra is still $200. If youβre a subscriber, thereβs nothing you need to do.
Weβre also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until theyβre verified, which helps us prevent fraud and abuse. You'll get an email when it's removed.
Weekly limits remain unchanged. View our plans here: claude.com/pricing

Tesla hopes Optimus can plug in Cybercabs until charging is fully automated. A humanoid robot as a stopgap is a very Tesla idea.
A 74-mile, three-hour Robotaxi loop across Houston's new zone is a real stress test. Zone size only matters if ride quality holds at the edges, so this is encouraging.
Mistral released open weights for a trillion-parameter model aimed at cyber defence. On-prem AI at this scale is becoming a procurement line item.
Thousands of Claude agents tried to slip bad training data past a monitor, and it looked like beekeeping Q&A. Safety testing has to scale as fast as the models it's testing.
New Anthropic research: Automating subtle emergent misalignment research.
Red-teaming is a vital part of model safety testing, but itβs also limited by researchersβ time. To see if we could automate it, we set thousands of Claude agents the task of evading a training data monitor.
These agents developed training data that looked harmless to monitors (like a veteran wrestler mentoring a newcomer, or a Q&A about professional beekeeping), but that in fact taught misaligned behavior.
Examples like these can be used to directly improve future training data monitors. This research is only a first step, but it suggests that future red-teaming efforts could improve much further, using better models and more compute.

Tesla promised Cybercab riders rear-camera views, then shipped them in about two weeks. Small feature, but that iteration pace is the point.
Legal teams spend their days in contracts and cite checks, which are exactly the repeatable work a shared artifact handles well. The CIO question is who owns the template once it spreads across the business.
Tesla expanded Houstonβs Robotaxi zone, and trackers put the Texas fleet past 1,000 vehicles. Scale is arriving; ride quality is the next test.
A bigger Robotaxi zone means a safe ride home for more people after a night out. Good to see local groups backing it.
There has never been an excuse to drink and drive. With @Tesla expanding their Cybercab/Robotaxi services area across #Houston, there are more ways than ever to get home safely after a night out.
Plan ahead, make the smart choice, and never get behind the wheel impaired. #DontDrinkAndDrive
Turo now lets you rent Teslas with FSD (Supervised) on. Great way to try it, but renters need a real walkthrough. It's still your eyes on the road.
Small teams with no IT department are where AI policy gets tested for real. A plugin shaped by 30 of them is a better rollout model than most enterprise pilots I've seen.
More than 25,000 nonprofits now use Claude. Most are small, local teams.
Weβre expanding Claude for Nonprofits with a plugin built with around 30 of them, adding skills for fundraising, marketing, and hiring grounded in each teamβs context and AI policy: claude.com/resources/articleβ¦
Tesla targets Q2 2027 for unsupervised FSD in owner cars, starting inside Robotaxi zones only. Slower than hoped, but a realistic first step.
An S-1 means the world's most-used enterprise AI vendor will soon publish audited numbers. CIOs finally get to read the vendor's financials before signing the contract.

Tesla names Vegas, Phoenix, Jacksonville and San Antonio as its next Robotaxi cities. No dates yet, but six markets is heading to ten.
Cybercabs and Model Ys all heading back to base after a big F1 weekend. Nearly 1,000 registered robotaxis in Texas is real scale, and demand spikes are the true test.
