I love @Artist_Commons and couldn't recommend it more. Incredible community of artists, top content every week and mentors from top institutions who will truly care for your growth. Check it out and apply if you are a committed professional artist.
I've been a student in @Artist_Commons for the last few months and I would recommend it. I meet weekly with some super badass artists and we give supportive feedback, plus 2 lectures per week. Next application deadline is Nov 16!

Based on real events: Lately, something strange had been happening to me: whenever I reached my front door, right at the moment I was about to open it, I would hear a “kr-aaaaw,” the caw of a hidden raven. It could have been in the tree right on the sidewalk. I would turn around and try to find it among the branches, always without success. And so, for two or three weeks, the raven’s caw inexorably followed me every time I entered my home. Was it some kind of curse for something evil I had done? A dark omen manifesting before me? Then, the terrifying Poe-esque sound followed me to work, right as I was touching the door. Even in the underground parking garage, where the echo seemed to multiply inside my lonely soul. I would look around, unsuccessfully trying to figure out where that ominous bird could be hiding. I went on with my life, incorporating the curse like one incorporates a small everyday anomaly. Until one day my wife borrowed the Tesla. When she came back, she asked me why I had the sound of a raven activated whenever the doors locked. I remembered that my daughter had been playing with the car’s screen. I felt a stupid sense of relief upon discovering that there was no curse after all, and went on with my day. But arriving at my front door will never be quite the same. Because the raven is still hiding in my mind, reminding me.

This is counterintuitive for some, which is why there’s a paradox named after it. But if you lower the cost of something that was previously supply constrained, demand for that thing goes up. Software engineering is just one of the easiest examples to contemplate. The process goes like this: every small business, every IT team, every large enterprise sees that engineering can now drive vastly more output. They then start to consider all the new things they can build or automate. They even test building prototypes themselves. They only get so far with that approach because they realize there are still 50 other tasks that go into building software and maintaining it. So they start to hire more engineers to do that work. All of this for work they never would have considered automating or having software for if AI didn’t exist. So yes, automating tasks, in plenty of fields, will lead to demand for experts, not less.
The software industry is apparently dying but job postings for software engineers are rapidly rising!

I'm honored to be selected along with Melina Ojagnan to take part in Decentraland’s Art Week 2025! Looking forward to helping build at the intersection of art, technology, nature, and human kindness — in a spirit of open collaboration. #ArtWeek2025 #Decentraland #FutureOfArt
Announcing the talented artists selected from the two Open Calls that will be featured during Art Week ✨ These visionary artists are bringing their interpretation of “Touch Grass” to life in Decentraland as part of this year’s Art Week, happening September 24–27. Meet these artists, 3D builders, and their early concepts 👇 ... Selected for their bold visuals, storytelling, and creative approach, the following artists will be paired with DCL studios to turn their concepts into a fully realized installation. @velvetpotassium & @lazarx0x0 - Bloomin 🌺 A four-part, narrative-driven installation where nature meets tech. Explore a world that sparks curiosity, digital craftsmanship, and playful presence. @BosqueGracias - Exhibition Garden 📺 A towering stack of abandoned CRT TVs overrun with glowing mushrooms. A commentary on tech decay, memory, and the strange life growing from digital leftovers. @carlosmu_noz - The Little Self 🐌 See nature from a snail’s POV. A 30x scale-up that reminds us how small we are — and how healing it is to reconnect with nature’s grandeur. Luis Llácer (LLACERART) - Money grass 💸 A bright landscape hiding unsettling truths. It looks like grass, but it’s money—and something wants to eat it. Agustin Di Luciano & Melina Ojagnan - Forest Goddess 👑 Are you a machine dreaming you’re human? Or the reverse? Meet a hybrid being and dive into an organic-mechanical sensory journey. Emma Shapiro & Savannah Spirit - The Weight of A Shadow ❌ A haunting meditation on the erasure of creative identity. Cutouts of a body fade away—layer by layer—echoing the experience of censorship—literally and metaphorically—and the emotional toll it takes on creators. @ElisavetaSivas - See Through the Eyes of the Creator 👁️ Step inside a giant head and into a dynamic mindscape. A moving blend of beliefs, thoughts, and energy in motion. @ohde__ - Grasswork 🌿 Grass as meditation. A slow, tender reflection on landscape, labor, and making, inspired by time spent in Patagonia. @iacob_visual - The Grassed Hill ⛰️ At the hilltop: a glowing tree. Wires pulse skyward—what happens if you touch it? @Paradigmstories - Tempus impromptu 🌸 A surrealist glitch garden. With melting clocks, flickering flora, and ambient memory—this place remembers you. ... Visually intriguing and ready to explore—these winning builders will be bringing their own ideas to life. @PepeGawd - Symbiotic Grove 🌻 Glowing flora that dance with your movement, music-reactive vines, and a treehouse of light. This garden feels alive with presence. @Moppundo1 - Whispers Beneath the Bubble 🫧 A glowing bubble-island sanctuary filled with bioluminescent trees and jellyfish. Come here to breathe, reflect, and slow down. @AzzolinoLuiz - Foan Garden 🌹 Pick flowers. Hear them sing. A squishy, meditative field made for subtle interactions and quiet grounding. @Olgaforce3D - Concrete Block Shack in the Woods 🪵 Inspired by a reaction to Kurt Cobain and his music, this eerie concrete cabin in the woods evokes memory and mood. Familiar yet unreal—like a dream you never had. @OgiWorlds - Skotóeidēs 🔮 A glowing ziggurat rises—descend to confront the collective unconscious. Your reward? A celestial ascent. @cybermike4 - Gaia is Dying 🌎 Team up with time travelers to save Earth’s spirit. Solve puzzles, clean up Black Goo, and revive the ecosystem. @Micah_Alhadeff - GeoSynth 🧬 A terrain where real and imagined nature collide. A meditation on how we interpret the world—synthetic or not. @Aeon_Smash - BioCore, The Living Cube 🌲 A giant shifting cube hides a jungle ecosystem and a mysterious path. Follow the clues. Find the legend. @inceptionfun - Glitch Meadow: Fragile Nature 🔧 Nature glitches, breaks, and reassembles. Each tap is an act of healing in a digitized world fraying at the edges. @sabatobox - Capybara Sanctuary #2 🏡 Capybaras. Gossip. Grass. Enough said. Come relax and get to know the capybara villagers. ... These 20 installations launch during Art Week in Decentraland, September 24–27, each offering a different lens on nature, digital worlds, and human experience. Can’t wait for you to experience their work!
