bit shout out to @diskwarrior : saved my 36TB external RAID 5 enclosure today running #softRAID when 1 disk failed and the system went read-only. It rebuilt the directory flawlessly (MacOS Catalina). I changed the faulty disk and the RAID 5 system is now rebuilding automatically.

If you haven't heard of @diskwarrior, you're missing out. I use it about once a week to optimize my hard drives and it makes a huge difference.

@diskwarrior Y’all saved TWO albums. Seriously, best purchase I’ve ever made. One of the scariest things in the world is a disk error in #ProTools but you brought two different hard drives back from the dead. I might send y’all a Christmas card.

Totally unsponsored tweet, but had to share: my 12TB work drive (which is cloud backed-up) refused to mount. Neither Mac DiskUtility nor the WD tools it came with could help (and both suggested a reformat). @diskwarrior saved the day...in *minutes*. Fully repaired. Thank you!

Phones can leak personal data Like location & political views, So why not look through your apps And delete those you rarely use. Then go to Settings > Privacy To see data shared with apps. Block stuff that should be private With just a couple of taps.

Dear DISKWARRIOR - it’s years since we last talked. And then yesterday I was wondering how DO I sort out this problem. Up you popped in my mind. You told me I needed to upgrade. I did. You did the analysis. You fixed it. Thankyou for saving that 3 TB of data.

Had some bad news from RAID drive set #2 yesterday. Fortunately @diskwarrior fixed what DiskUtility couldn't. Done and dusted in short order.

cont… (4) Disk Drill, but none of them fixed the issue by rebuilding HFS+. Then I finally gave #DiskWarrior a try and you can’t believe, it saved my money, life, and data of last few years. Yes, all fixed. Kudos to the developers of this wonderful #Mac app. #DataRecovery (2/2)
