I have my own boomer real estate story. Recently purchased house. Owned by an old lady that let it go to crap. Cat piss stained floors, hoarding junk in every corner… Start doing remodeling and local boomers immediately notify township to see if I permits for the work I’m doing. Township comes and stops me from doing work on MY OWN HOUSE. I did the “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” technique of buying a fixer-upper and that still didn’t sit right with them. Just miserable people.
