this is where I land too. I don't personally mind if my fics are floating around out there without me, but it irritates me to see readers who can't survive one day without the work of fic writers being so hostile toward the idea that writers care about our work & want a say in it

Tl;dr: community involves all parties, and I’m really tired of seeing so many readers talk about how fandom is community driven when you guys don’t treat writers as a part of that community. Writers are not upset about credit, they’re upset about being reduced to content.
