I'm running a social program for my product on both X and Threads. Hard to understand why the same content on both apps does so much better on Threads. It's a sports app with no politics, so that dynamic shouldn't be at play. Any one else doing this or seeing the same thing?
For new business social reach, Threads > X. Same content, same account start dates, but Threads engagement is 10x what it is here on X. More conversation, more traffic to my site. One thing Threads doesn’t have though: bots and spam accounts artificially drive up follower counts.
10x understates the issue. Content here struggles to get 100 impressions while content on Threads frequently passes 2,000+. That’s not amazing, but it’s better than under 100
Someone's been using Claude Code, working on a side project lol. That's me. That's @TheDataBaller .
Sharing this as the builder, @AskDataBaller is coming together nicely. One unexpected insight- Threads is generating a lot more engagement than X. They seem to be more aggressive in testing new account content.
“Is Jacob Misiorowski the best pitcher in baseball?”
Not quite. He leads all 52 qualified starters in ERA (1.73), WHIP (0.76), K/9 (13.23) and K/BB (6.34). But FIP, which credits only strikeouts, walks and homers, has Chris Sale ahead 2.08 to 2.10.
Misiorowski’s ERA sits 0.38 below his own FIP; Sale’s gap is 0.01. Both are legitimate answers. The peripherals lean Sale.
Please help me test my new thing.

Still looking for beta testers interested in helping shape the future of DataBaller! If you like data and you like sports you'll have a blast testing DataBaller :)
From @analyst_baller . If you like data, and you like sports, follow.
The Padres went from a .226 first-half team average (the lowest in baseball over that span) to .283 in the second half, a +.057 jump that is nearly double the size of the next-largest move in either direction. The split is based on games before vs. after July 14 (the approximate All-Star break), regular season only, through August 12.
The Yankees' second-half drop to .201 is the starkest decline, 36 points below their first-half mark and well below the league floor. That's a number worth watching; at that depth, BABIP luck and lineup health are likely contributors, not just contact quality.
There's no shame in using AI (or there shouldn't be). Yes, I use Claude for writing, a lot. The only people who care are the people trying to take credit for something they didn't write. I don't need the credit, I need the information communicated to the people who want it.
Day one with Opus 5: "no, I'm not going to read all that"
Day two: "I'm just sitting here waiting for another agent to finish so..."
Day three: "Opus 5 is awesome"
"Quick heads-up while this finishes: the blast radius is bigger than what you signed off on" - @claudeai
Thanks for the heads-up. I wan't doing anything else this weekend anyway.
