Houston knew his voice. I was blessed to know him as a friend.
I’ve known Jerome “YoJ” Ronquillo since our teen years. Decades later, sharing ribs and laughs with him and Cubby is a memory I’ll always cherish.
As Filipino American History Month closes, I’m honoring someone who meant so much to our community.
Houston radio won’t sound the same without you, YoJ. Praying for Maggie and the entire Ronquillo family. Rest in peace. 🙏🏼

The last time a Democrat was governor of Texas, the Houston Rockets were NBA Champions. Could history repeat itself? 🤔 🚀
My AI got something wrong about my own music career. Another AI caught it. 😂
I had one AI team audit my YouTube channel, then asked another to review it.
It caught an unverified statistic and something that didn’t match my release history.
After 35 years in the music business, I’ve learned that a second opinion is always valuable.
Apparently, that applies to AI too.
The tools have changed. The judgment still has to be yours.
Anyone else making their AI assistants fact-check each other?
Miami fans celebrating Notre Dame being ranked #11 might want to rethink that. If Miami loses Saturday, they’ll have ZERO wins over current Top 10 teams. And with that strength of schedule, the CFP committee could drop them significantly. Be careful what you celebrate. ☘️
It’s really this simple. Notre Dame wins this Saturday and they are in. Lose and it’s over. Go Irish ☘️

I hired an entire AI staff.
None of them are human. 🤖
At 56, after 35 years in the music business, I’m using AI to help manage my music, bookings, and marketing.
AI isn’t replacing my experience. It’s helping me do more with it.
Anyone else building an AI team?
I’ll be there ☘️
College GameDay is headed back to South Bend! ☘️

Instagram is testing 90-minute videos. Most DJs will think: “I can post my whole set.”
I’m more interested in what happened before you pressed play.
For the acoustic “I Surrender,” I was up at 5 a.m. in Houston while vocals were cut in Manila. Houston. Manila. New York. Nobody in the same room.
That’s the story I’d show.
Would you rather watch the full set—or how it came together?
876,485 people ahead in line for Calvin Harris tickets?! 🤯
That’s what one fan’s Ticketmaster queue screenshot showed for his Chicago show.
Some fans reported waiting in massive virtual queues, only to finally get through and find resale tickets listed for hundreds of dollars instead of regular-priced tickets.
I’ve worked on both sides of the live music business, and I understand supply and demand.
But should resale tickets be available on the same platform while fans are still trying to buy tickets at face value?
Curious what everyone thinks about this.
Crystal Waters performed at my club in Houston during a KRBE live broadcast in 1994.
Twenty-five years later, I land in Amsterdam for my first ADE and run into her at the airport. Then again at one of the parties.
With ADE happening this week, I’ve been looking back at that trip. Music has a way of bringing familiar faces back into your life in places you’d never expect.
What’s your best “small world” moment?
Seeing Rudy T, Dream, the Ketchup and mustard uniforms, Tag Team at halftime hearing “Whoomp there it is”, and the @HoustonRockets beating the Mavs tonight giving me those 1995 vibes all over again. Believe It Again and Again!
