So, on the list of essential additions that the Giants must make if they are truly going for our best possible outcome this year...Defensive tackle. Not Edge, not LB, not CB, not Safety...IDL. We have to get Reader help and reduce is snap share. He is having an awesome season so far, but we NEED to get him legit help. Harris is a good rotational piece, but we are woefully shorthanded in the middle. Dangerously so. If we are able to get a plus player beside Reader now, with the way our other defensive units/players are performing, we could have a defense that could carry us in any given game. Any game.

What the tape is showing with Tae Banks, is that the light bulb has gone on for this elite athletic fomer first round CB. Banks is a 4.3 guy, with a 40 inch vert, long arms, and perfect size for a corner. It has taken the right scheme, the right coaching and a recommitment to his craft for Banks to start to reach his potential. He's become a willing tackler, a leader in the secondary, and playing like a shut down corner. It's amazing. If you don't believe it, turn on the tape. The Giants need to lock him up NOW. He's starting to gain a rep in the league, justifiably, and it's only a matter of time before he's producing impressive INT and PBU stats. Amazing

Random question: Does Kenneth Walker go for over 2,000 rushing yards this year? 5 games in he's averaging 133 yards/game.

Here's why I think it should be JJ McCarthy going forward...same floor, higher ceiling...JJ provides wider access to the playbook as it was originally intended with Dart. his higher mobility should help the run game and the O Line, and his stronger arm can threaten all parts of the field. Lastly, competent play from him has the potential to create higher asset value. On the flip side, I can't stomach the volatility of Winston's play and his limitations. It's an easy choice IMHO.

On Giant Spaces discussing fixes for this team...Quentin Nelson is a Free Agent at the end of this year, the Colts have just fired their GM...they are 2-4, with the Vikings and Jags next to play before the trade deadline. They are looking at 2-6. Giants need to trade for Nelson at the deadline and sign him to an extension. OL: AT, Nelson, Hudson, Francis, JE. It changes EVERYTHING in the run game. Probably won't happen, but it should.
