Very early doors at the JCS tonight. Gateshead the visitors, not sure I am expecting a high quality game. I think it'll be scrappy and hard going as both teams battle for some form. Let's hope for 3pts for the Pilgrims. It's fresh, bring your hat! #utfp

🟠5-6🔵 I know the result doesn't matter. But that's was shocking defending. Decent attacking in the 1st half and that dwindled to nothing in the 2nd half. Great to some fight from a few of the boys as the game drifted away. Not enough though We go again #utpf

🟠4-3🔵 Some great finishes, some defending that wouldn't get you in the team for the Dog and Duck on Sunday. Seems a common thread - no shape at the back, centre backs too slow on the turn beaten every time by the balls in to the channel from out wide or inside out.

As a keen watcher of the warm up, that was the most dynamic, purposeful one I've seen in weeks

The sun is setting at the JCS as Southampton u21s are the visitors for the NLC A great opportunity for some rotation and maybe a bit less pressure can bring out a good performance and a win. I know it doesn't really matter but a bit of positive momentum is good #utfp

Glorious day for a game of football! Player starting to come out to go through their paces, already a good number of visitors from Southend. All lined up for a win for the Pilgrims then. #UTFP

Right..... Southend visit the JCS this afternoon in what promises to be a stressful couple of hours for everyone in yellow. I'm sure the last week has been a tricky one for the players, management and staff as much as the fans. So how are we feeling today?

Every 2nd half this season is like we're doing an attack Vs defence drill and we make the opposition look like the greatest attacking team on earth. So many mistakes, the midfield seems to stay in the dressing room at half time and the defence totally exposed.
