I bet Russell Brand wishes he was in the Epstein files now as this seems to grant you immunity from prosecution

The nation has been left stunned after a man who got a tax payer-funded BBC chauffeur to pick up his 16-year-old girlfriend from school when he was 29 years old has turned out to be a rapist. I mean where were the signs? The man in question is attempted comedian Russell Brand—someone who mysteriously carved out a TV and movie career despite not being remotely funny or likeable. If you don’t know who I’m talking about, Brand is the one who always looks like he’s pissing on railway lines. Yes, he’s the ex-husband of the first woman to take a joy ride in space! Brand ended his marriage to Katy Perry when the allegations against him first emerged. He then became a Youtuber so he could convince people that the eventual court case was an establishment stitch up. This argument would’ve been more convincing if he’d found a single person to defend his character in court. Brand conveniently discovered that he loved Jesus and started carrying a Bible everywhere he went. This was definitely not for the cameras. He was interviewed by Piers Morgan who asked him which Bible passages were most meaningful to him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t answer. At least he’ll have plenty of time to spend with his booky wook in prison. Brand actually thought he was gonna be redemeed, saying he could “feel God’s presence” while walking into court. He told his social media followers the prayers seemed to be working. Unfortunately for him, God doesn’t like rapists any more than the jury did. After falling silent while the prosecution cross-examined him on why he kept groping women without their consent, and forcing himself on them, he was convicted of rape and three counts of sexual assault. This came as a huge surprise to everyone who’d looked the other way for the past 25 years. Brand will no doubt be delighted to find that many prison inmates share his disregard for consent. I’m sure he won’t object if his big strong cellmate decides he just can’t help himself. Brand’s sex crimes were so well-known that his fellow comedians called him out on stage for years before the law caught up with him. It’s not like he kept any of this a secret. He bragged about his rapes and sexual assaults in a book that reached number 1 in the Sunday Times best sellers list and was widely praised by critics. He was declared Shagger of the Year three times by the Sun newspaper. His management enrolled him in a sex addiction clinic where he was asked to draw up a list of all the women he’d wronged. He compared the process to Saddam Hussein being asked about individual kurds he’d killed. In a follow-up memoir, he wrote of his time in the “nicky wick”, “If this is what I’m telling you, can you imagine what’s being left out?” Brand was so confident of his crimes that he laughed on the radio about how he indecently exposed himself to women. He even offered to send his naked assistant to one man during an interview—the man in question was Sir Jimmy Saville. Brand caused a public outcry in 2008 when he called 78-year-old Andrew Sachs for his BBC Radio 2 show with Jonathan Woss. The incident was pre-recorded and producers decided it was fine to air. During the call, Brand said, “I shagged your granddaughter”, made a mock apology to Sachs, and then suggested he commit suicide. Since humiliating old people counts as entertainment in the UK, both men continued to have successful TV careers and Brand even starred in a couple of terrible Hollywood movies. It’s funny how rapists fail upwards, isn’t it? Brand is just the latest in a long line of people to follow the proud BBC tradition of sexual offences. They include Sir Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris CBE, Stuart Hall OBE, Huw Edwards MBE, Chris Denning, and Tim Westwood. You’ll be pleased to know the BBC did their utmost to shelter these men for years until the law caught up with them. Aren’t you glad you’re forced to pay your licence fee?

I carry the lessons, strength, and resilience of the fierce Pueblo women who raised me. It is the honor of my lifetime to serve New Mexico as your 33rd Governor — and to make history as the first Native American woman elected Governor in our nation’s history. I will always fight for the people and communities that made me who I am. Let’s get to work.

President Zelenskyy: Russians have taken thousands of Ukrainian children from our land. Now, we see something even worse. Russia has already started sending some of these children, children they stole from us, who have grown up during this war, grown up over these years, into the Russian army. And this is horrible, and it must stop.

Well done to get a prosecution. Women are usually victimised entirely by rape!!!!
Right then, you poor bloody sods. Pull up a chair and try not to choke on your own bile while I tell you about another famous bloke who spent years treating the world like his personal dressing room and is now discovering that doors do actually lock. Russell Brand – the long-haired, sunglasses-wearing, “I’m a spiritual seeker now, honest” version of a man who once treated women’s boundaries like optional extras – has been found guilty at Southwark Crown Court of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault. Jury of eight men and four women. Three-week trial. He was cleared of two further rape counts and one of attempted indecent assault. That’s the part the lawyers will want you to focus on while the rest of us notice the bit where a jury listened to the evidence and decided, on the balance of what they heard, that he did it. And now, because the Metropolitan Police are not quite as finished with him as some people hoped, it can be reported that they’re investigating two more rape allegations. Files already with the CPS. Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, who’s been running this for years, has said more women are likely to come forward now the guilty verdicts are in. He reckons the conviction gives people courage. He’s also called Brand a predator whose behaviour escalated with his fame. Which is a polite way of saying the higher he climbed, the more he seemed to think the rules applied to other people. The original complaints that dragged this into the light came from reporting by The Times, Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches in 2023. Brand denied everything then and has denied it since. Police interviews started cautious and got bolder as they went on. The usual script: prepared statements, “no comment”, claims that anything that happened was consensual and that the whole thing is a media stitch-up. Meanwhile the women who gave evidence did so from behind screens. Some of them cried. One of the newer allegations reportedly involves a schoolgirl who was 16 at the time. The Met are still asking anyone else who thinks they have something to say to come forward and be treated with dignity. Furphy’s line is essentially: the work isn’t done. This is the bit where the machine usually tries to change the subject. Celebrity. Rehabilitation. Spiritual awakening. Podcasts. American platforms. The slow, careful recalibration of a public image that once ran on chaos and now runs on redemption. None of that changes the fact that a jury has convicted him of serious sexual offences and that police are looking at more. The women who went through a trial, who sat there while their accounts were picked over, who waited years, didn’t do it for the fun of it. They did it because, for a long stretch of time, the person with the microphones and the dressing rooms and the cars that could be sent to collect people held most of the power. That power is now being measured against evidence and a verdict. It is not a clean process. It is rarely a comfortable one. But it is the process that exists. So here we are. Another famous man. Another set of women who said no and were not believed until a jury said otherwise on at least some of the counts. Another police force saying there may be more. The rest is noise. The noise will be loud. It usually is. @rustyrockets #RussellBrand #SouthwarkCrownCourt #MetPolice #Justice #BelieveWomen #UKNews

Princess Diana framed picture of her son Prince Harry with the words My joy always, breaks my heart so much. She was robbed of seeing her son growing up and having a family and children. She would have been the best grandmother, would have adored those grandchildren. And Prince Harry was robbed of a parent who loved him unconditionally, a parent that never saw him differently, never treated him differently than the other son. I always always hope Prince Harry, see these pictures and dedications hus mother had for him and feels her presence and her endless love in this universe.

Meet Madam Jeanne Louise Calment, who had the longest confirmed human lifespan: 122 years, 164 days. Apparently, fate strongly approved of the way she lived her life. She was born in Arles, France, on February 21, 1875. The Eiffel Tower was built when she was 14 years old. When she was 85, she took up fencing, and still rode her bike when she reached 100. At the age of 114, she starred in a film about her life, at age 115 she had an operation on her hip, and at age 117 she gave up smoking, having started at the age of 21 in 1896. She didn't give it up for health reasons; her reason was that she didn't like having to ask someone to help her light a cigarette once she was nearly blind. Jeanne retained sharp mental faculties. When she was asked on her 120th birthday what kind of future she expected to have. Her reply, "A very short one." Here are the Rules of Life from Jeanne Louise Calment: "I'm in love with wine." "All babies are beautiful." "I think I will die of laughter." "I've been forgotten by our Good Lord." "I've got only one wrinkle, and I'm sitting on it." "I never wear mascara; I laugh until I cry often." "If you can't change something, don't worry about it." "Always keep your smile. That's how I explain my long life." "I see badly, I hear badly, and I feel bad, but everything's fine." "I have a huge desire to live and a big appetite, especially for sweets." "I have legs of iron, but to tell you the truth, they're starting to rust and buckle a bit." "I took pleasure when I could. I acted clearly and morally and without regret. I'm very lucky." “Being young is a state of mind, it doesn’t depend on one’s body. I’m actually still a young girl, it's just that I haven't looked so good for the past 70 years." At the end of one interview, the journalist said, "Madame, I hope we will meet again sometime next year." To which Jeanne replied, "Why not? You're not that old; you'll still be here!” I hope you enjoyed this little story and it inspires you to not take life too seriously, and live a little like Jeanne. And please remember growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional.

It’s looking more and more like William will be the most corrupt monarch in history. He’s not even the King yet but is already showing blatantly corrupt tendencies. Why am I not surprised?🤷🏽‍♀️ “It [Duchy of Cornwall] is private when it suits him and public when it suits him. If it’s private he should be paying capital gains tax. If it’s public he should be transparent about the finances and we should have regard to the duchy in setting the sovereign grant.” - Margaret Hodge, Anti corruption tsar Full article 👉 archive.is/wpSDv
