🏒 Heard of asymmetric returns? Most things in life offer symmetrical returns - you put in X, you get X back. Linear growth. But asymmetric returns? You put in X, and the output could be anything. Some risk, but potentially HUGE rewards. At TextCortex, we've grown to millions of website visitors monthly. How? By consistently creating content in our niche and building authority. Compare this to paid ads where you typically get what you pay for - symmetrical results. Content creation offers asymmetric returns. It grows and compounds over time, reaching more people and bringing more value than you initially put in. It's like planting a seed that grows into a forest, providing shade for countless people. This is the beauty of asymmetric returns - the potential for exponential growth. It's not just about working harder, it's about working smarter. Finding those leverage points where a small input can lead to massive output. Whether in relationships, business, or personal growth, seek opportunities where your efforts can multiply. That's where the magic happens. Want to learn more? Comment "asymmetric" below!

Google AI in German: I am an AI trained by Researchers and Engineers at OpenAI. Can someone call @sundarpichai and tell him that the german AI reviews say they were trained by their competitors. its time to go full C-E-O-lo Mode.

just received a claude skill for video generation. It had instruction for stripe?! Sure thing - directly came with its own outsourced finance department ;) How I keep sanity in my .md files? comment "aintivir" :'D

GoPro.ai here we go. After AI hitman'ed my favourite shoe brand Allbirds. (Now building AI Infrastructure) Wonder what they do with my favourite camera brand from 2013... Who needs an IPO just buy a company in brink of delisting and slap a .ai on it. Sound somewhat familiar?

Anyone knows a loom alternative that does not kill a MacBook Pro? Ever since acquisition every video recording feels like I am starting a Bitcoin mining operation while local hosting Claude Fable at 0.01 tokens per second.

Claude went down this morning. A friend just messaged me in a panic. He's paying premium prices for Opus. Has zero fallback. And now his entire workflow is frozen because one provider hiccuped. He's not just overpaying, but building dangerous dependencies into his operations. GLM 5.2 would handle 98% of his use cases at roughly one-tenth the cost. Probably more reliably too. All whily he could be saving 75% right now and sleeping better. The real lesson isn't about picking the "best" model. It's about model liquidity. I see many companies making the same bet. They lock into one provider, one API, one point of failure. Then outages like this are becoming a substantial risk to the operation of full departments.. We currently watch companies panic because the cost for AI is "too high". Put in budget caps at 2k USD per employee. That's ridiculous, a non technical knowledge worker is fine with a budget of 40 to 60 USD per month. Simple Single provider dependency. Entirely preventable. Why? They don't know better. Totally understandable. That's what I am going against. ;) The winners are building on top of model aggregation. Same prompt. Multiple backends. Automatic failover. Cost optimization isn't just about cheaper tokens. It's about operational continuity. Stop romanticizing the frontier model. If you are not an engineer you are well served ever since Sonnet 4 was released. And Sonnet 4 is best substituted with a model like Kimi K2.5 and above.

hearing that one of your customers send that unexpected 6x higher purchase order of 400k EUR because they want to make sure that the budget is untouchable feels like the first high of the week.

BREAKING NEWS: US BANS ANTHROPIC MODEL USAGE OUTSIDE US. A letter from the US government deleted two AI models from every laptop in Europe. Not a hack. Not an outage. A letter. Anthropic had no choice. Within hours, Fable 5 and Mythos 5 were gone for everyone outside the US. And inside the US for any non-American. Including their own engineers who hold the wrong passport. We were testing Fable 5 internally. Ran our own codebase through it. The results were honestly the best we'd seen from any model on security analysis. We were about to flip on European hosting. Then a letter. Here is the part nobody is talking abuot yet: This was not a price negotiation. Not a security incident on Anthropic's side. Not a contract dispute. It was a unilateral act by a government against a private vendor, executed in under 6 hours, that erased a tool from every European stack relying on it. Every CIO running an "AI strategy" deck this morning has the same question on slide one now. Whose laws govern the model I just bet my workflow on?

Germany pioneered industrial engineering that the whole world copied. And in 2026, we require a 12-step partner certification program to access THE accounting API of the nation. We didn't lose our edge to China or the US. We bureaucrated ourselves out of the game. I got curious about building an AI agent to take over accounting tasks. A proper Buchhalter Bernd. Imagine Bernd to pick up our invoices from a central inbox, read and extract the invoice data, upload to DATEV for human review. I hired 6 people so far who have hated this job with the truest, burning passion. Might as well get into it. Step 1: get API access to DATEV. Here's what they require: ✅ 2 years in business ✅ 20 managed DATEV environments ✅ 2 certified DATEV technicians ✅ A field service review ✅ Proof of data protection expertise ...to access an API. Not launch a rocket. Not handle nuclear waste. An. API. Building process over. Meanwhile some cracked 19-year-old in San Francisco builds a full payment empire on Stripe integration in 4 minutes with some sandbox keys. The best part? Their data protection requirement document is literally labeled "Internal" at the bottom. Nothing says "we take security seriously" like publicly publishing your internal docs. Germany didn't fall behind on digitization because of talent or money. It fell behind because gatekeepers built moats around the moats of the moats. Every month this friction exists = another accounting workflow that stays manual = another person doing copy-paste in Excel and 90s themed webapps in 2026. That's not protecting anyone. That's protecting the status quo. Generative AI could handle 80% of routine accounting tasks today. But first you need 2 certified employees, a field review, and apparently a fusion between a time machine and a FAX to get 20 clients before you've even started. Germany, we need to talk.

Sitting in-between discords with 19 y/o pushing software like no tomorrow and c-levels locked in 9 3/4s decision committees is a beautiful opportunity.
talked to a few execs at a mid-size company last week. no AI tools in their workflow. zero. still running everything through email chains + manual reports. one of them didn’t know what Claude was. only messed around with ChatGPT. these are people managing teams of 50+ employees and eight-figure budgets. and they think this is a fad. nobody outside of this app understands how fast this is moving. and most of them won’t until it’s too late.

Why are there still people complaining that their 20 USD sub is used up in a few hours when abusing the largest closed source LLMs there are?

the benchmarks say on par performance at 12% of the cost. Opus was a milestone in intelligence, now available at great economics. If real world application confirm benchmarks. We have a new DeepSeek moment.

Just renamed my living room "The Gym." Happy to report my workout attendance is up 50x in just 6 days of the new year. I didn't actually exercise. I didn't change my diet. I simply rebranded my couch as "The Peloton." Now, every time I sit down to eat chips and watch Netflix, I am technically logging a high-intensity workout session. This is the kind of disruptive, high-level strategic masterclass we are seeing here. Why continue to struggle to have only sold sell 8 million actual Al licenses when you can just find-and-replace "Office" with "Copilot" and instantly claim 400 million active Al users? Forget "Product-Market Fit." In 2026, it's all about "Rebrand-Metric Fit."
Yeah this is likely because Microsoft is making so little selling 365 Copilot (8m active paid licenses in aug 2025) and they need to find a way to pretend it’s popular

Everybody's trying to build fancy agentic B2B software these days (whatever that means), the real problem looks like this: Week 1: "It's magic!" Week 3: "It's... hit or miss" Week 8: "95% of seats unused" Usage retention is the problem FYI Copilot has a 16% pilot to production rollout ratio.

There are demo videos of veo3 from @GoogleDeepMind going around since today showing off not only insane video generation quality, but matching voice AND lipsync. for half my life I record, produce and edit videos for fun. Have recorded tons of them for TextCortex to show the humans behind our company. a year ago I experimented with visual clones of myself for some of our videos. those videos always felt off, while video and audio looked and sounded great. Its the micro expression making it feel off. In particular those really creepy TEETH in lipsyncs. The natural feeling of this generated demo is mindblowing. thank you to @arikuschnir for sharing his experience will direct to his post in the comments. There is a bunch of videos now circulating this one really stuck with me, because it literally shows the core capability so clearly to make coherent storytelling happening without nifty workarounds.

Let's talk about asymmetric returns in your career - it's a game-changer. Most jobs offer symmetrical returns - you work an hour, you get paid for an hour. Linear growth. But being part of a value-creating company with equity or revenue share? That's where things get exponential. In a typical job, you're trading time for money - it's predictable, but limited. When you have company shares or revenue participation, though? Your potential return becomes boundless. It's like planting a seed and owning part of the entire orchard that grows from it. At TextCortex, we've seen this principle in action. Our team members don't just earn salaries - they're part of a million-dollar value creation engine. Compare this to jobs that offer only fixed pay - with equity, your rewards grow as the company grows. This is the heart of asymmetric returns for employees. Your initial work effort keeps multiplying, potentially bringing more value than you ever put in initially. It's like your past work keeps working for you, even while you sleep. Want to tap into asymmetric returns? Look for roles that offer equity or revenue sharing. In your career, it's about finding opportunities where you can participate in the company's success. That's where true wealth creation happens. Ready to embrace asymmetry in your career?

Asymmetrical returns in reading a book? One book, countless dividends. I read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" every single year. For me it was a life-changer. Changed my approach to relationships, both personal and professional. Years of trial and error, avoided. Countless meaningful connections, forged. All from a single source. That's the magic of asymmetric returns. A small investment - reading one book - yielding massive results. It's like planting a tiny seed and watching it grow into a mighty oak, providing shade and strength for generations. One action, exponential impact. This is the power of asymmetric thinking. It's not about how much you put in, but how smartly you invest your time and effort. So, what's your "How to Win Friends and influence people book"? What book had asymmetrical returns in your life?
