i've been following the Nolan Wells story because it's close to home for me having young kids. the biggest take away is the amount of gross racism ive seen on social media. "white people are demons, cave people, Neanderthals, pedophiles, mass killers, etc" "white people are a genetically inferior race, and were a mistake by God." "everything that is wrong with the world is because of ypipo". This isnt just a few one-off comments, this is apparently the sentiment of thousands of certain folks online. and all of these comments were spurred by what will likely be just a tragic drowning. i feel for the young man, and all the kids involved. they were just good friends, having fun, enjoying life.
