I’ve never really cared about comedians going to jail. I don’t understand their fight against censorship. Silly rebels without a cause. In February 2025, 3 FIRs were registered against Samay Raina. I changed my mind. The fight was too close to home. I knew Samay. More than that, Beerbiceps did the same thing I did for work: podcasting. If they could get both of them, we would be next. I had to speak up. I did a podcast on how the state and media were needlessly hounding Samay. But my podcast didn’t change much. Latent still got taken down. The courts will still summoning Samay. Dark clouds loomed over India’s creator economy. In December, Samay messaged me about getting on Dostcast. When we sat down to record, I asked him “why did you do this podcast with me?” Samay said, “you stood up for me when I was down. I’m gangster like that.” It’s the most intense you’ll ever see this guy. The episode drops on 17th April, 2026 at 8 PM. Be there.
