There are three teams in the top 10 of the college football playoff rankings that have two defeats. The remainder have only one or are undefeated. Guess what? All three of those teams with 2 defeats are from the SEC. And two of them are ranked higher than undefeated UCLA.
This is screwed up.

Job growth in the previous two months was stronger than initially reported, with a total of 84,000 jobs added: August was revised upwards by 53,000 to 186,000; and September gains totaled 60,000, up from 29,000.
The consensus forecast for October called for monthly gains of 65,000 jobs and a 4.2% unemployment rate, FactSet estimates show.
Fridayโs report well exceeded those expectations and painted a picture of a labor market thatโs not just resilient and stable โ but one thatโs robust.

Last night is exactly why no President has dealt with Iran before now
We don't reward Presidents for acting in the best long-term interest of the country
We reward them for avoiding difficult decisions if it means we don't have to make any sacrifices during any given 2yr period

I was responding to a text earlier today. A good friend sent me this:
"High gas prices, high interest rates, inflation, quagmire in Iran. What did anyone expect was going to happen?
Iโm not saying itโs right, Iโm saying Iโm not surprised. A lot of Trump dissatisfaction."
My Response:
Apparently Americans have abandoned logic. You see, when I get pissed off at a party that I fought to get into power only to have them NOT follow through on their promises, you know what I do? I try to kick the bastards out of power in the primaries.
What I DON'T do is hand the country back to the previous jackasses who:
1) Gave us higher gas prices than we have now
2) Gave us higher interest rates than we have now
3) Gave us higher inflation than we have now
4) Gave us the quagmire of Ukraine/Russia
5) Gave us the massacre in the Gaza Strip
6) Gave us open borders and 35+ million illegal, unvetted aliens/terrorists walking across our border
7) Drained our strategic oil reserve
8) Gave us DEI
9) Gave us lawfare like we've never seen in this country before
10) Gave us a flood of judges that won't follow the law 11 Gave Iran BILLIONS of dollars in cash so they could develop a nuclear bomb which was the entire REASON we are fighting in effing Iran right now
12) Gave us a shadow government behind a president who was nothing more than a dementia patient
13) Nominated for the Senate an America-hating Antisemitic, racist, Jihadist who supports and is supported by terrorists To name just a few.
Pardon my French, but if that is an example of the best f*cking logic this country can muster than we deserve the total destruction that we are now facing in the hands of people who HATE capitalism and HATE America.
What a total cluster frack. But here we are...

โ ๏ธ GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN
Between now and Dec 11th the House of Reps must pass 9 of 12 appropriations and the Senate must pass all 12, or a new continuing resolution must be passed. After Tuesday the Democrats hold all of the leverage and they can just shutdown the government for 3 weeks until a new Congress is sworn in. From August.
โ ๏ธ CONINUING RESOLUTION
This will take a minute but this is important to undertsand. I have long said the Democrats would prefer the government shutdown during the midterm election as a political strategy. A CR requires 60 senate votes and 7 Democrats will never agree unless they get something for it.
A procedural vote was taken this week in the Senate to advance the CR to a vote later this week. It made me wonder, what is in the Senate version of the CR that would have the Democrats going along with keeping government open and passing a CR?
First of all, the Senate version is not what the House passed. Which means it will have to go back to the House for a vote with the senate changes, if passed. And, D3mocrats in the House will gladly pass what thr Denate has given the Democrats.
What are the Democrats getting? DEI. The OMB head Russell Vought and 40 Federal agencies changed funding for grants for DEI and that takes effect Oct 1, which coincides with the 2027 fiscal year.
What did OMB do? On May 29, 2026, it acted alone and issued a massive, 412-page joint proposed rule alongside over 40 federal funding agencies (including HHS, NIH, NASA, and HUD). By packaging DEI grant changes together into Docket OMB-2026-0034, this allows the administration to bypass each agency to write separate rules or open individual comment periods.
By upgrading "Guidance" into "Regulation": The "Uniform Guidance"โa framework that agencies use to interpret or modify to fit an administrations own ideology and programs the Trump administration effectively shutdown BILLIONS for DEI and 'Woke Agenda' items being funded by Federal government under the old guidance on Oct 1.
Susan Collins chairs the committee where the new Senate version of the CR was developed. Now, the Democrat strategy is to agree to the CR, avert a shutdown, win the midterm elections. When a new CR is required for Dec 11th the Dems can shut down the government until a new Congress is sworn in early January.
At that time, they will have the leverage to pass a budget with BILLIONS for DEI and Woke grants.
I have said for 8 months now, the GOP must pass all 12 appropriations prior to Sept 30th to fund fiscal year 2027, keep the government open and take all leverage and political strategy away from the Dems.
The weak GOP in the Senate is about to give it all away to the Democrats by passing this horrible CONTINUING RESOLUTION.

Republicans didn't pass a budget by Sept 30th, the Democrats put a provision in the CR that was passed to keep the government open. That provision blocked Trumps agenda against DEI. Funding ends Dec 11th and the GOP has ZERO appropriations passed in the Senate.

I have predicted for a while a 226-209 House in favor of the Democrats.
If it's going to be Dem, it will be much better for the country if its actually 240-195 Democrat. There will be only a maximum of 8 Democrat Socialists of America in the House of 435. A narrow margin will actually give the Socialists more power against Hakeem Jeffries when those 8 stay together to dictate to Jeffries and the Democrats, similar to the Freedom caucus holding up Mike Johnson and the Republicans. With the Dems eye on the '28 presidency they will want to accomplish things that can be passed with a Trump signature and they will want to appear more centrist than Socialists going into '28.
