Brady’s criticism was notable—not in the sense that he was wrong about the referees ... but because as a minority owner of the Raiders he is subject to a roving electrical fence about what is and isn’t allowed in his commentary for Fox Sports. frontofficesports.com/articl…

Levitating at the thought of moving 1998 Knicks-Heat off primetime to protect vulnerable eyes. It's the right thing to do
That said, the upshot of moving Game 6 to the middle of a weekday is that these offenses are NSFW anyway.

Sports fandom is such a curse… I could be watching the two most sophisticated orgs in baseball in a nip and tuck World Series, or the last primetime WNBA game for a year between two bruisers…I am instead watching two dysfunctional turds narrated by feuding uncles

It’s a little odd for the university to put out a video of a student calling you corny, but I’m not sure how you get from that to believing you could be assassinated for being annoying on College Gameday

Some context on how this affects WNBA Finals TV viewership: The NBA had a 3 p.m. ET game on opening day Tuesday that drew 2.5M on NBC, a third of the 7.7M that watched Knicks–Sixers at 7 p.m. Game 6 of the WNBA Finals starts at 12:30 p.m. That's 9:30 a.m. in the West Coast, and one Finals team is based in San Francisco.
Game 6 of the Finals has been rescheduled to 12:30 p.m. ET from 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29 and will be played at State Farm Arena, the WNBA announced. The Hawks game Thursday night in State Farm has been pushed back an hour, from 7 to 8 p.m. More ⬇️ frontofficesports.com/articl…

Tom Brady's criticisms of the officiating during Fox's Packers-Lions broadcast Sunday are drawing attention, as @sportsrapport reports. The NFL's restrictions on Brady, stemming from his role as a Raiders part-owner, include a limitation on how far he can go in criticizing the officiating. It's subjective. But the indication always has been that Brady can criticize a call that's made during a game in his Fox role, but he can't take it to egregious levels.
Tom Brady didn’t hold back on referees while calling the Packers-Lions game on Sunday, strongly questioning several officiating calls. But Brady is also a part owner of an NFL team. So, what can he and can't he say about referees?

Outside of the major team sports leagues, the PGA Tour has also yet to partner with a prediction market or allow its players to sign endorsement deals with them, citing concerns about uncertainty over governance and ongoing lawsuits.
The NFL now remains the only major American sports league that has not officially partnered with a prediction market

A few other tidbits: - This deal doesn't cover the WNBA - Novig, FanDuel, & others expected to become authorized prediction market partners soon - Expect team-level deals now. Warriors & Kalshi are expected to reach a deal, sources tell @FOS - Lakers have also held talks w/ PMs
The NBA has named Kalshi and Polymarket as its “preferred prediction market partners." The NFL is now the biggest remaining U.S. men's league without a prediction market deal, as MLB, NHL, and MLS are all partnered with at least one. Story: frontofficesports.com/articl…

nobody loathes average Americans more than the grifters who claim to speak for them
The coastal elites hate Americana. We know what they really think, and we know why they are so quickly defending Obama’s snobbery. They might think they are “too good” for the Cheesecake Factory, or find the decor to be tacky, but most regular Americans don’t
