Côte d’Ivoire next door has a similar speed camera system and it works. Drivers are warned of cameras ahead, and electronic displays show their speed, giving them time to slow down before they reach the camera. Ghana should take a cue. The goal should be to save lives, not just collect fines.
Ghanaian Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo has called on the government and Traffitech operators to install clear road signs indicating speed limits on various roads, arguing that it is unfair to fine motorists for speeding when the required speed limits are not displayed. [🎥: Samuel Dabo]

As long as charlatans continue to occupy high public offices, our development progress will remain painfully slow. And to the babies with sharp teeth, before you unleash your usual insults, kindly consult the dictionary for the meaning of “charlatan.” #StopGalamseyNow
This is a video of Sammy Gyamfi, the GoldBod CEO, 2yrs ago outlining how President Mahama and the NDC would use Technology to win the fight against galamsey. But talk is cheap 🤝🤝 Guys listen

This was how Ghanaian football looked like, when talent was valued more than other considerations and national pride defined our game. Then yaanom took over and the rest is history. What happened to our beautiful game? As usual those who have no idea about Mohammed Gargo and Awudu Issaka will unleash their insults …

Last night, I received this poster from a former colleague with the caption “Your legacy lives on, bro....” I thank @akin_adesina for his ENABLE Youth vision and the opportunity to have led the @AfDB_Group funded SLARiS project in Sierra Leone to set up this agribusiness incubation center at Njala University. Special thanks to @mfregene77 and @hellyhashi for the guidance.

October 16 is World Food Day, a reminder that ensuring food security is a collective responsibility. This picture reminds me of an experience when we had money in our pockets but still went to bed hungry. We could afford to buy food, but there was simply no food available at the time. That experience reinforced that having the purchasing power to buy food does not necessarily guarantee access to it. Food security rests on four interconnected pillars: availability, access, utilization, and stability. Affordability is an important dimension of economic access, but food must also be physically available, safe, nutritious, and consistently accessible. As we commemorate World Food Day, we must recognize that achieving food security goes beyond increasing agricultural production. It requires investments in rural infrastructure, irrigation, storage, transport, efficient food markets, and resilient supply chains. #WorldFoodDay

The deeper you engage with practitioners in Ghana’s foreign exchange market, the more you begin to wonder whether what we call the formal forex market is, in practice, a formalized parallel market. The distinction between the official and “black market” appears increasingly blurred.
Sammy Gyamfi educates and debunks Abena Asare’s propaganda that Goldbod operates as a forex bureau. She later conceded to her propaganda.

16 years ago, a friend developed a passion for law while doing his national service at Ghana’s Commission on Human Rights. But Ghana’s restrictive law admission system could not offer a spot for the Philosophy graduate. Fast forward to 2026. Law education is opening up, so I reached out to encourage him. His response? “I have lost interest in law.” 😂😂 Ghana finally opened the door, but the applicant has moved on! How many dreams have restrictive systems killed? Medical schools should follow next …

Most people on this App shouting that Ghana doesn’t need more lawyers probably don’t even know the difference between the Ghana Bar and a chop bar. Yet, they’re confidently debating the future of the legal profession.

In 2016, I questioned why my brother had to pay his lawyer extra “fuel money” or “air ticket” every time he appeared in court. As an economist, I saw a market problem: limited competition, weak bargaining power for clients. Today, Ghana is producing lawyers in their thousands. Just like any market, competition will drive innovative solutions. Soon, Ghanaian lawyers may be offering discounts and incentives to attract clients, just like other service providers. Congratulations to my friends OPK and K. Gyasi on their call to the Bar.
