Mrs. Quigley and Mrs. McLemore’s 6th grade ELA classes took a break from their essay writing to make an Escape from my @Schoology Breakout Room that reviewed the novel they just finished Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief @colliervillems #gamifyschoology

A3: I love the combination of Schoology and Nearpod at the moment just so many ways to engage stundets in the classroom and in virtual settings. #istecert2021
A2: We currently use Nearpod lessons in conjunction with common sense. This has allowed us to enhance the technology aspects of the digital citizenship lessons. #istecert2021

A2: It depends on the subject area. Some subjects that are so bogged down with the amount of standards they have to get through I feel that projects get left out. Other subject areas are able to thrive with student creation because they don’t have as many standards #FETCchat

A1: I think the most important is to make the student take real ownership of their work if we make it personal to them it will mean more. #FETCchat

A3: Our district has adopted the motto “You Matter” this year to not only to make connections with the student socially and emotionally but also for students to take ownership of their schooling. More student choice in the classroom. We just discussed in #istecert #FETCchat

A2: Teachers incorporating students interests into their teaching. Even small things with start up activities making it a guessing game with a “who’s who” in the class so the students know the teacher is engaged with the students interests. #FETCchat

A1: Seeing teachers in my district take what was thrown at them during the crazy pandemic time and transitioning back to the classroom and keeping up with using the technology has been wonderful. One thing has been the more expansive use of Apple accessibility features #FETCchat
