Having just finished a week of ICU some observations.
1. Hospitals are filling fast. ICUs are at a slower pace but filling up. More than half COVID at most ICU and climbing.
2. Unvaccinated still make up 60% but double vax are 40%. Most have health issues if vax

3 things I’m watching closely, re: hantavirus:
1. Cases linked to ship exposure within the next week.
2. Case in Johannesburg & possible in-flight/in country exposures en route to/at hospital.
3. Adherence to public health measures in countries receiving repatriated patients.
Other than mindless low IQ people that are want to chant YEET does anyone like him better than Gunther?

Hi, ER Doc here.
RT if you’ve ever done CPR on someone and they survived.
Trying to prove something.

Terrorism is never justified. No matter your political leanings what’s wrong is wrong and should not be celebrated.
Congrats to the @Twins on the sweep. Also kudos to the @BlueJays on another post season appearance. Thanks for a thrilling end to the season even if we came up short.
Go @MapleLeafs go!!

A historical post for applicants to medical school #medtwitter #medicalstudent
I work with a lot of students in med school or applying to med school, and this amazed them today so I thought I would share here.
I applied to med school in Canada in 1996.
This is how we did it.
The coolest part of being an ICU doc/dad is telling your kid you brought someone back from the dead. Let’s see Spider-Man do that!

I've just been asked to "fact check" bits of RFKJr's interview on Rogan's show by a journalist. I was sent a list of 9 statements he made. 1 was correct, 1 was unlikely, 4 had no supporting evidence, and 3 were - space lizard rule the earth level - totally bonkers.

So you are demanding someone with proven qualifications and a lifetime of medical service come on to your biased show and debate someone who is a self proclaimed expert? All that does is give validity to the self proclaimed expert. Find a real expert first to defend that view.
This is a non answer. I challenged you publicly because you publicly quote tweeted and agreed with that dogshit vice article. If you’re really serious about what you stand for, you now have a massive opportunity for a debate that will reach the largest audience a discussion like this has ever had. If you think someone else is better qualified, suggest that person.
Exactly. No one was intubating people for kicks. And guess what? You are more likely to die from ANY pneumonia if you are intubated versus at home because YOU ARE SICKER! It’s not some conspiracy
