Putin told Iran the locations of our warships.
Today, Trump rewarded him by lifting sanctions and allowing American dollars to fuel Russia’s war machine.
Our troops are in harm’s way, and the President cut a deal with the adversary putting a target on their backs.

Members of our Stanford chapter speaking out against the Protect College Sports Act:
NEW: The Senate is on the verge of passing the "Protect College Sports Act" after lobbying from Amazon, Disney, Paramount and more.
The bill would cap player compensation, but fails to address massive coach salaries, buyouts, or private equity.
Actual college athletes have been left out of the process, so while the NCAA would get an anti-trust exemption, players wouldn't get a seat at the table.
We talked to Stanford football players to learn more.

Billionaires want you to believe taxing their extreme wealth is too radical and that it can’t be done.
Baloney.
Economist Gabriel Zucman debunks their lies. Watch.

Look at the massive crowd behind them and tell me with a straight face that college sports are in "absolute chaos". The "chaos" is that (mostly black) athletes now have bargaining power and white coaches and sports industry execs hate it.
1/ Want proof? Here are the numbers:
Pat McAfee nailed it: College sports are in “absolute chaos,” there are no rules anyone can reliably follow, and Congress is now “our only option.”
Coach Saban put the absurdity plainly: “Would we ever think that an NFL player could come back and play in college? It’s absolutely crazy.”
College sports cannot survive as a courtroom free-for-all.
It is time to pass the Protect College Sports Act, send it to President Trump’s desk, and sign it on College GameDay this fall.
The NSCA supports the STRONG Act, recognizing the role strength and conditioning coaches play in improving performance and minimizing injury risk for athletes. Thank you to Congressman Owens for his support on this issue

Georgia audited its own data center tax breaks and found that the state gave up $474 million in sales taxes in one year—and got back just $41 million from the industry. At least 38 states have deals like this. (It's not clear whether all that money the state waived was needed to attract the construction: in Georgia's case, by the state's own estimate, 70% of the data center construction would have happened anyway.)

This is disgusting and antisemitic.
Victor Marx and every Republican must denounce this now.

A terrific keynote it was too! Insightful use of theories, methods, and practices to advance coaching science and practice (almost wanted to write outcomes which would be antithetical to Adam’s point about finite measurement.
Thanks for a stimulating keynote!

These are all programs that Trump has cut funding for and I’m curious where all this money went! Why aren’t we asking questions. Why isn’t Congress asking questions! 🤬

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

Universities had 17 years of warning. They responded by doing the opposite of what the math demanded.
In 2008, American birth rates fell off a cliff. The Great Recession made people stop having kids. Those never-born children would be turning 18 right now. The number of U.S. high school graduates peaked at roughly 3.9 million in 2025. By 2029, that number drops 15%. By 2041, it drops by nearly half a million students per year.
Every school in this tweet had access to the same Census data. They all saw the same curve.
Administrative positions at U.S. colleges grew 60% between 1993 and 2009, ten times the rate of tenured faculty growth. Non-instructional spending (student services, administration) grew 29% from 2010 to 2018. Instructional spending grew 17%. Average tuition at public four-year schools went from $3,500 in 2000 to $10,560 in 2023. Yale now has more administrators than undergraduate students. 5,460 administrators for fewer than 5,000 undergrads.
They built the cost structure of a growth company on top of a customer base that was mathematically guaranteed to shrink.
The split in this data tells you everything. Clemson, Syracuse, Duke, UNC, and Indiana are all cutting because the model broke. Alabama, Ole Miss, and the University of Florida are turning away more applicants than ever. Harvard gets five applications for every spot. The middle is where the cliff hits. Elite schools absorb demand. Everyone between elite and community college fights over a shrinking pool. The Fed published a study in December 2024 predicting 80 colleges will close in the next five years. Since 2016, over 100 already have. In 2024 alone, 28 shut down. One per week.
These program cuts and layoffs are a decade late. The birth rate data was sitting in Census spreadsheets the entire time. Everyone in higher education administration saw the enrollment cliff coming. They hired more administrators anyway.

On April 20, @TAMU hosts Mike Pence for (reportedly) up to $800k "Civil Discourse" symposium. Meanwhile, my Ethics course was canceled for the "crime" of discussing race & gender. This isn't a symposium; it's a smokescreen.
Discourse requires honesty, not just "politeness." If you ban the expertise of your own professors, you aren’t fostering dialogue—you’re managing an echo chamber.
Texas A&M says they want "leaders of character".
Character means standing up for the truth, even when political winds blow. I’m standing. Are you? ✊
Meet us at the Rudder Fountain, April 20 at 3pm. Let’s show them what real civil discourse looks like.

NEWS: Massive budget cuts for US science proposed again by Trump administration
"It's an extinction-level event for science".
The US government is proposing massive cuts to almost every branch of science, from NASA to the National Institutes of Health. NSF would completely eliminate the social, economic and behavioral sciences directorate.
This would decimate the world's leading scientific system.
