Meet MAGAt Jon Stone. A far-right Republican gun store owner, Sullivan County GOP Chair, and former New Hampshire State Representative who traded a badge for a dark legacy of systemic workplace terror and severe professional misconduct. The gruesome reality of his background unraveled after years of shielded secrets. In March 2006, Stone was fired from the Claremont Police Department following an internal investigation into at least 14 distinct misconduct reports. Long-hidden internal affairs records, finally forced open by a New Hampshire Supreme Court ruling in 2024, exposed that Stone was investigated for an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl. When caught, he explicitly threatened to murder his police supervisor, rape his supervisor's wife and children, and execute a mass shooting against fellow officers. He ultimately surrendered his police certification. His path of hostility did not stop there. In 2021, Stone was terminated from his role as a corrections officer at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Vermont. Court findings revealed he had subjected his workplace colleagues to an intense, ongoing pattern of vile racist, sexist, and homophobic slurs. He legally challenged his firing, but the Vermont Supreme Court upheld the termination after noting Stone admitted to using the derogatory profanities.
