Let me get this straight. A guy keeps getting weirdly targeted ads on his new Samsung TV. So he breaks into his own TV to find out why. 1.2M people watch. 42 hours later, OpenAI deactivates his account. Reason: "Cyber Abuse." His words: "i have never used openai to exploit or find vulnerabilities, only local reverse engineering" Same week, people on r/claude say Claude now cuts off reverse-engineering write-ups MID-SENTENCE: "A safety check stopped my response partway through creating the playbook" The TV is fine. The guy who opened it is the problem.
banned for reverse engineering work? that’s wild oh well, -$500, and a bunch of banked resets) but gained motivation to get 3 more machines and finish my cluster. i have never used openai to exploit or find vulnerabilities, only local reverse engineering which tripped daybreak.

Imagine sending a report in to a bug bounty program, and getting a dupe because OpenAI was monitoring your work and filed it a minute before you.

Very strange how this keeps on happening

My Samsung The Frame has unfixable shading on the left and right sides. Claude helped: wrote a cli to upload images; then used it to upload test images and attempts to fix with a mask. The result is a consistently darker image; but I think it’s better than the faulty shading.

A couple of iterations where it attempted a mask, uploaded it, and I’d give it a new photo.

Eventually a consistently neutral tone. Booya.

Apple says you need a Mac to build iPhone apps. Today I built one on Omarchy Linux, submitted it to the App Store, installed it on my iPhone over USB, and stopped it at a breakpoint in the debugger. No Mac anywhere. It's all open source: github.com/joshuaswarren/oma…

In an instant I have now realised I might have become an academic if my papers could have looked like this.

A video explaining a handful of the tricks we use to optimize for memory within the Superlogical server: in-memory compression, moving file descriptors between event-driven and blocked threads dynamically, full terminal state binary snapshot/restore in microseconds, and more!

On Australian Google maps is the bizarre “let’s not talk about Epstein not Iran” name given to the smallest of the five Great Lakes. If Australia also renamed it, would google maps also show me that name?

I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters. In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.

HTML2PDF is Ruby is weird: gem Grover requires node; weasyprint requires python; gem Ferrum requires headless chrome; gem Prawn is not HTML; gem wicked_pdf relies on a dead wkhtmltopdf; gem Docraptor wrapps expensive Prince tech; 2026 solution: blog.superails.com/wicked-pd…

That's a small reminder! 👇 As of June 2026, HTTP has a new method - a GET with a `body` 😎 Meet QUERY (RFC 10008). It lets you send complex queries in the body (like POST) while staying safe, idempotent, and cacheable (like GET). Already works on servers (Node.js, Go, Laravel…). Browsers are still adding full support, usable now with care, with widespread adoption coming later in 2026+.

What happens in a game after 3pm?
Caitlin Clark's 8th career game with 25+ PTS, 10+ AST and 5+ 3PM 😈 the rest of the WNBA combined has 4 such games in league history.
