You can replace doctors on a rota; you cannot replace their clinical expertise. The true costs emerge in missed diagnoses, delayed treatment, and preventable mass harm. Patients pay the price. In two currencies: cost and lives.

Where is Sir Ranulph Fiennes? British explorer's stepson speaks out. Sir Ranulph, now 82-years-old and suffering from Parkinsons, hasn't been seen in public for almost two years. His friends and family claim his wife is blocking them from seeing him. news.sky.com/story/bluesky-1…

The MoD’s own procurement documents rather undermine your claim. They explicitly justify awarding Palantir a contract without competition because switching suppliers would require rebuilding its data architecture, retraining staff and disrupting military operations. If that isn’t vendor lock-in, what is? sell2wales.gov.wales/search/… sell2wales.gov.wales/search/…

"It seems to me that a decision has been made to replace doctors and to remove distinctions between doctors and other professions. It's no coincidence that the NHS continues to struggle with efficiency, productivity, and safety problems while we progress further towards a blended workforce without the necessary training supervision or regulation." This is what we've come to. A retired couple had to spend £1m of their own money taking both the @EnvAgency and @NaturalEngland to the High Court simply to force both of these charlatans to do their job, safeguard one of our nation's most legally heavily protected bits of countryside. And the environment charities does what exactly? thetimes.com/uk/environment/…

A reminder to @RCPhysicians about what Fellows voted for in an EGM IN 2024 And how data was presented- with it's subsequent fall out due to data manipulation- resulting in resignations Lessons from the past: 1. Don't manipulate responses to suit a narrative. 2. Don't ignore Fellows and their views by use of 'process' Yes- standing by that narrative cost me- yet I haven't budged an inch from that philosophy. Less Chicanery, More Leadership. I repeat: The @lengreview clinical protocols for PAs should be rejected -if nothing else- on grounds of presumed COI by contributors. Also- PAs should NOT be seeing undifferentiated patients. Full stop. @Mumtaz_Patel_1 @OGMustafa @HilaryWMedic

What do people think is happening today, during this current COVID wave or the previous 12?! The NHS is doing its best to completely ignore it while the UKHSA blathers on about flu. Few HCWs masking 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you go to hospital today you’ll likely come out worse!

Not the first time have seen this happen. Barely uptrained HCAs acting as nurses, doing vitals & bloods, reporting back to a non-visiting dr, missing deteriorations, discharging to similarly undertrained for role district nursing teams.

On one day earlier this year, @nottmhospitals officially reported 168 FEWER patients waiting on trolleys in its A&E than the A&E staff counted themselves. Across May, on avg every day, it reported 116 fewer than the reality. The trust says this was a genuine error now fixed.
