LMAOOO we withdrew because we wanted to save money only to lose even more money because of it, and to top it all off now we're banned from entering for the next three years. bravo pff 👏👏👏

PMNFT goalkeeper Nicholas Guimaraes was on the bench for Machida Zelvia in their away win vs. Tampines of Singapore. Second time featuring on the bench for the J1 League side.

Less than two years after making his national team debut, Bjorn Kristensen is now already SECOND in the all-time goalscoring charts for the Philippines with 16 goals in just 20 games.

The Philippines touch down in Bandung ahead of the FIFA ASEAN Cup this Saturday! Opening game is vs. Vietnam at 7:30 pm Philippine time

First victory for the Philippines in men's football at the Asian Games in 68 (!) years. The last time we won a game was a 1-0 win in 1958. Weirdly enough, that was also in Japan. Even weirder, the winning goalscorer back then was ALSO an Aldeguer.

how i'm feeling for our asean cup campaign:

Looks like this is the apparent call up list for the Philippines at the FIFA ASEAN Cup. Although I still have a lot of doubts about this, which I'll talk about below:

Looks like we have our first three confirmed call ups for the ASEAN Cup: Jeff Tabinas - Selangor 🇲🇾 Paul Tabinas - Dinamo Zagreb 🇭🇷 Daisuke Sato - One Taguig 🇵🇭 More to come, maybe?

23-man squad if a miracle happens and we somehow get the three guys we were aiming for

PMNFT coach Carles Cuadrat with Anthony Markanich of Minnesota United

Looks like Ricardo Verza 🇧🇷 is back at Kaya! The forward signed for them last year but had his whole 25/26 season cut short by injury days before the opening game. Kaya play the ADC (formerly CF Manila) tomorrow at 8:30.

Interesting omissions from our Asian games squad lead me to believe that Cole Mrowka, Angelo Bruckner, Javi Mariona, Alex Monis, and Dylan Demuynck are all being saved for the senior FIFA Asean Cup squad instead. Unless they join after the training camp instead for some reason.

Coach Joan Esteva likes to use a 4-4-2 but assuming Digger use their 4-3-3 from last season this is how I feel they'll line up. Vasquez seems primed as that Nishioka replacement and the signings of Gomez, Andes, Kanteh, and Pryde are great depth signings for positions they lost.

Looks like this will be Manila Digger's 23-man squad for the AFC Champions League two qualifier against Persib tomorrow. BIG work to replace the three main cogs they lost (Nishioka + Gai + Manneh) but their one advantage is that their new Gambian signings are unknown factors.

tried making a top 20 of this but honestly super hard to pick

It was a Mendiola-Maharlika game on M16 of the 2024-25 season. Mendiola lost 5-0 and had to field 10 players because of the foreigner limit of 5 outfield + 1 gk, they only had 5 local players and like 15 foreigners so they fielded 10 players with a number of imports in the subs.
