Careless and wilful lack of respect on the streets of central London today. Two e-bikes parked awkwardly on a very busy pavement and a man asking for money, prostrate with his sign and a cup for people’s change angled to cause a trip hazard, which was probably deliberate.
The new #HarryPotter store on Oxford Street was drawing the crowds today! 🪄✨🧙♂️
How wonderful! 🤩 I bumped into the incomparable #ChristineBaranski as she slipped into Wyndham’s Stage Door this afternoon. She was charming and was happy to sign an autograph. 🎭 #MammaMia #TheGildedAge #HayFever
Some theatregoers 🎭 are not impressed by the move by @NationalTheatre to charge up to £146 for tickets for its forthcoming ‘West Side Story’ in the Olivier Theatre and I’m one of them. I never thought that the NT, which I love and support, would go quite so far.
Delighted to see that #TheHistoryBoys is coming back… but here we go again with these ridiculous seat prices. 🎭 I recommend detention for whoever came up with them! 🤷🏻♂️ #AlanBennett
I’ll be here this evening and very much looking forward to leaning into some glorious classical music. 🎶☺️ #SouthbankCentre

ALT Artwork for the National Theatre's major revival of West Side Story coming to London from 11 November 2027, with tickets on sale from midday on 12 November 2026. White block text reads "WEST SIDE STORY" overlaid sparsely but evenly on an image of people interacting with scaffolding. They appear to be performing parkour with some hanging, others swinging, and some holding themselves up above the bars. They are in silhouette as orange light floods the large space.

A very pleasant way to start my Tuesday… a tidy little win on the PBs. Always gets my heart racing a bit when I log on to the app to see if I’ve been lucky. 🥳
A local artist has painted some walls near one of my overground stations. Quite colourful and abstract, and done with the best of intentions… but I give it a day or two before some idiots - with less honourable intentions - start daubing their monikers on them. 😔
Wow… seriously, this new book will become a bible for #standup comedians, both, new and experienced. Very detailed, a forensic analysis of the mechanics of jokes and humour. Grab a signed copy while you can and before they end up on eBay for hundreds of pounds. 😂/🤔 #JimmyCarr
Oh… I don’t know. Is it a radio? A device for stopping dogs from barking? A pocket radio? A nail trimmer? Ahh… it’s just clickbait. How silly of me. 🙄
Let’s see if the Guardian’s review of the new book by Dame #DameJudi is as celebratory and complimentary as I hope that it will be. Looking forward to getting stuck into this lovely book. 🤩📚
