Submission is a journey. There was a time in my finsub journey where self pleasure was my only concern. This was seven years ago. At that stage in my life I figured as long as I was sending money nothing else mattered.
I didn't understand the beauty and pleasure of just letting go and allowing others to lead. I was fearful of being hurt, I couldn't trust. I don't start fully submitting power until five years ago. Five years ago I finally understood my own boundaries and how to execute them. Through that I was able to safely navigate my submission to really flourish.
Four years ago, I successfully mastered my finsub mindset. I programmed myself that the act of sending alone was enough to satisfy me, in fact it's now the only interaction I look forward too. I find myself most happy with the simplified version of findom. I send the money, Dom takes the money. I ask permision to use my money Dom grants it or denies it. You can strip away all other forms of fetish and domination from findom and I'd be just as happy, if not more happy.
