I've seen a lot of people asking "why does everyone think Twitter is doomed?" As an SRE and sysadmin with 10+ years of industry experience, I wanted to write up a few scenarios that are real threats to the integrity of the bird site over the coming weeks.

The idea that prosecutors & police care about, let alone speak for "victims" of crime is a dangerous myth. "4 out of 5 victims who reported a crime said the crime was not solved. Half described the justice system as unhelpful during the investigation."theappeal.org/campaign-ads-cโ€ฆ

As Political Ads Fearmonger on Crime, Victims Want Alternatives

Instead of co-opting victimsโ€™ voices, political candidates and elected officials should center them.

Does this game include tweaking your back from trying to reach things in weird ways while lying down??
Wholesome Games@_wholesomegames7 Nov 2022
Do everything while lying down in Exhausted Man. Play as an ordinary but very tired person as you complete everyday challenges and work toward a better andโ€”I assumeโ€”less exhausted life.
Great tutorial on how to start using mastodon

Right. As a heavy tweeter/content creator who is now maintaining BOTH a Twitter and Mastodon presence, here is a short guide to what I have set up, how to do it and lessons I've learned, for others. TLDR: It's been WAY less hassle than I expected thanks to tips from followers /1

Pointing out the various flaws in historical attempts at communism does not address the problem that if we don't move from competition-based models to collaboration-based ones we're going to destroy all life on this planet in short order. We've still got to find a way to change.

In a world filled with gods and monsters of Japanese mythology, free-spirited Onari is determined to follow in their footsteps โ€” but her powers are yet to be revealed. From Academy Award nominated Director Daisuke Tsutsumi comes ONI: Thunder God's Tale. Now on Netflix.

Do you just click different blending modes until it sort of looks right? Well, that probably won't change after you read this but at least you probably won't use Lighten or Darken again. (you should bookmark this thread and use it as a reference)
