It didn’t.
Council boundaries changed.

Our three simple objectives:
✅ Mark all boundaries of #HistoricCounties
✅ Remove ‘county’ from admin zone names
✅ Realign ceremonial ‘counties’ to match traditional counties

✅ We campaign about traditional county boundaries - and the integrity of their names
Our objectives are simple - and easy to implement

“I will begin by saying what everybody would like to ignore or forget but which must nevertheless be stated, namely that we have sustained a total and unmitigated defeat,
And France has suffered even more than we have….the German dictator, instead of snatching the victuals from the table, has been content to have them served to him course by course.”
- Sir Winston Churchill to the House of Commons, 5th October 1938.
This was in response to the Munich agreement which gave the annexation of the Sudetenland to Nazi Germany.
Churchill, long the loudest opposing voice to appeasement, would be proven right again in the coming dangers of Hitlerism when the rest of Czechoslovakia was taken by the Nazis in the next 6 months.
If only the world listened to Churchill on the threat of Nazism during the 1930s.
Nevertheless, Winston would take up the fight in September 1939, when appointed First Lord of the Admiralty.
He would then shine the light of freedom in May 1940 as PM, when the world descended into one of its darkest moments in history.
