Discing low spots is like telling the wife you’re going for a beer at buddies. You end up burning a tank of fuel and show up home at 4am.
Found the last pass. Outside round of oats I swathed a month ago finally off. The last 116/160ac only took 2 weeks and 58 welding rods to get off. Now try to disc and fix ditches before the ground freezes next week before the drying resumes.
These last 40ac are turning into a lot more work then I budgeted for with my help. Nice little nighttime welding project on tap

“Didn’t give up a touchdown.”
Mike Babcock just gave the quote of the century.
Atleast with diesel this high this 16bu/ac canola might pay for the fuel discing and harrowing instead of drying and hauling.
73 hours of diagnosing and rewiring and it’s working again. The faintest hint of green in the insulation of the ignition signal wire in the 37 pin harness was enough to intermittently get 3 ohms resistance causing the monitor to backfeed. Build a new harness when I get a chance
Those with a gt dryer. Has anyone ever had a plenum hot signal triggered at the ignition cycle? Been fighting this for 6 days and getting no where. Checked for shorts on all circuits and coming up empty. Sensors in range and operating.

In search of a 12.9L iveco out of a T9030 , 9050 or 9070 would also work I think.
12.9 out of a combine will not work.
Tried Gratton coulee , and combine world so far and no luck.
Any leads be much appreciated
It’s comical at this point. Wet years sure hurt when this field is gonna be about 90ac at best for the next couple years with mild winters. Just got it back fixed from 2020 and the water runs are all full again.
Good frost last night. Should help dry down some of the late flush. Warm and windy finally. 65% done swathing. Time to get after it.
Canola swathing at 5 this morning had me second guessing my ability to grow anything as a farmer. Hard to find canola plants. Combining 18% peas this afternoon in an average stand on 27” of rain changed the mood wildly.
Raining. Yes. Non stop wind. Also yes. So things are looking way up. Fingers crossed get into peas sometime late next week.
One big plus side is atleast the fat tires will be on the sprayer still for spring. Gonna be a lot of mud bogging when we get going combining these weeds.

Take your students on a journey across the Canadian Prairies...one oat at a time!
Oats are grown primarily in SK, MB, and AB, but their story in Canada goes back hundreds of years. Introduced by European settlers in the early 17th century, oats remain an important Canadian crop.
Spraying peas on fat tires(520s). Who has done it and how much of a nightmare has it created? Doubt I’d get in with skinnies so leaving them for wheat. I would swath but looking like rain end of next week and would have to do whole quarter at once since 1 man show.
