e2e x agent-desktop 🧪 Weekend experiment: e2e tests for native desktop apps. the new engine protocol in e2e lets an engine run in its own process, in any language. Here's a demo of a small Rust engine on top of agent-desktop. github.com/tester-army/e2e
Introducing agent-desktop agent-browser, for your whole computer → Computer Use for any coding agent → macOS, Windows and Linux → Runs in bg while you keep working → Agents use your computer in parallel, each with its own cursor

The best way to speed up your CI is to run only the tests that matter. I wrote a blog post on how to do it with e2e and the Filters API

You can now run e2e tests inside @smolmachines microVMs. Each test gets its own sandbox on your computer, with its own browser and its own database, ready in a couple of seconds. Several agents can test separate copies of the same app at once without clicking through each other’s sessions, and every sandbox is wiped when its test ends.

You can now iterate faster while writing e2e tests Agents (and humans!) can use `--watch` to rerun only the e2e tests that changed ~/ npx e2e run --watch

Payments are notoriously difficult to end-to-end test iframes inside of iframes, iframe for every field… hell on earth for developers but not for agents! define e2e tests in plain english and agents take care of the rest ~/ npx e2e init

One of the most powerful features of agentic e2e are *personas* Your agent larps as an architect in Lyon who only speaks French or pharmacist in Cairo who only reads Arabic Great for catching missing i18n or broken RTL and you still write tests in English

In e2e, you can use one model to run `agent.act`s, and a different one to answer `agent.assert`ions That way you can use faster model for navigating your app and smarter model for checking if the app actually works according to your spec
