I don’t understand why people have a problem with emulating modern platforms on different devices, like a PC, Switch 2 or a PS5.
So what? If other people can enjoy the games I love without spending thousands of dollars on different devices, then that’s something I support.

Jokes aside i am slowly working on a switch 2 emulator that is backwards compatible with the og, it currently looks like a mess but it will be open source so others can fix up on any mistakes and fork it and play on whatever hardware they want i would love to see mario kart world running on a smart fridge.

Just finished dumping MKW from my switch 2, Just tested Eglantine Emulator, And i'm honestly both impressed and not at the same time.
Yes, this is the same architecture as the Switch one and this is just a fork of the past 7 years of work on it, but this doesn't deny the fact that this is like 3 days old emulator!
The emulator already gets updated every hour or so and it's already running 60 fps and is playable more than the switch 1 emu was for it's first 5 years.
There are a lot of stutters during shader comps, there's flashing and vertex expositions. but at this pace, we're only a few days from 4K 120Fps with Custom Online server.
Software Engineering is cooked and the world will never be the same anymore.
