๐ฟInvesting in nature means investing in our economic future, and we are building an Armenia where both can thrive together. EA took part in the Business and Biodiversity Forum at COP17.
During the closing dialogue, โScaling Implementation and the Pathway to 2030,โ Lilit Haroyan, Head of the Investment Promotion and Foreign Relations Department at EA, highlighted how closely our economies are connected to the natural world.
From the resources businesses rely on to the ecosystems that sustain communities, nature is an essential part of long-term economic prosperity.
Lilit also showcased the opportunity to make biodiversity a more integral part of investment promotion. With the right policies, financial instruments and partnerships, environmental priorities can translate into viable investment projects that create value for businesses, communities and nature. The next step is to turn global commitments into tangible action on the ground.
PROFAL invests $20 million in modern manufacturing capability.
PROFAL's new glass processing plant in Kotayk Province raises the bar for what Armenia can make and sell abroad.
Another $10 million is planned over the next two years. The plant has already created 75 jobs, with 100 more expected in the next phase.
Companies that keep reinvesting in production and selling beyond the domestic market are what a growing manufacturing base looks like.

Enterprise Armenia, represented by CEO Gohar Abajyan, Lilit Haroyan, and Khanum Gevorgyan, welcomed a delegation from CEA-Leti, one of Europeโs leading semiconductor and deep-tech research institutes, to Armenia.
The meeting marks the first in-country engagement since we began discussions in Grenoble, France, in November 2025.
CEA-Letiโs visit focuses on exploring Armeniaโs growing microelectronics ecosystem, with particular interest in circuit design - an area closely aligned with the instituteโs expertise.
During the discussion, we highlighted Armeniaโs expanding capabilities across microelectronics and AI, including opportunities around Firebird AIโs AI compute ecosystem. We also pointed to Armeniaโs growing role in developing semiconductor talent, with #Synopsys Inc curricula developed in #Armenia now being adopted as a model for chip design training across #Europe.
The visit is also a reflection of what can grow from consistent engagement and relationship-building over time. For our team, seeing conversations that started in Grenoble develop into an in-country visit - and into a broader set of meetings - is particularly encouraging.
Enterprise Armenia is now coordinating meetings between the CEA-Leti delegation and Armenian high-tech companies, universities and multinational technology companies to explore the countryโs talent, R&D capabilities and industrial potential.
Stay tuned.

At the annual workshop of the heads of Armenia's diplomatic missions, Gohar Abajyan, CEO of Enterprise Armenia, spoke about #Armenia's path forward in attracting #foreign #investment and boosting international #trade #partnerships.
"Today, over 80% of global FDI goes to just 20 countries. And the game itself has changed: in 2025, #AI, #semiconductors, #energy and critical minerals account for 44% of all global investment - up from just 16% in 2020. And we do have a word to say here. At the same time, capital isn't only getting more selective. It's getting more strategic, more security-conscious, more political," said Gohar Abajyan, highlighting why our diplomatic missions matter so much right now.
The discussion focused on making the most of Armenia's investment and export potential, and building the international business relationships needed to carry it forward.
Participants also explored opportunities to engage with major international forums and other economic platforms, and looked at how to strengthen business-to-government and business-to-business ties - with diplomatic missions playing a central role, backed by the right tools to move opportunities forward.

Armenia's place in the #semiconductor value chain is backed by the world's leading names.
#Synopsys Inc. #AMD. #Cisco. #Siemens. #Microchip. #NI (National Instruments). Six of the world's #semiconductor giants have made #Armenia part of how their chips get designed, tested, and verified- some for as long as two decades.
Today, that means over 3,000 engineers covering everything from #ICdesign and #RF measurement to pre-silicon prototyping and simulation acceleration.
Backed by a Strategic partnership with the #UnitedStates anchored in an AI and Semiconductor Innovation agreement, and a deepening partnership with the #EU - and fueled by a growing #AI compute backbone scaling toward 50,000 GPUs.
Armenia is becoming a full-stack player in the technologies shaping the next decade - from silicon design to AI infrastructure.

๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ช๐บ Armenia's exports to the European Union exceeded $516 million in January to June 2026, growing by more than 80% compared with the same period last year.
That puts #Armenia's export growth and its expanding trade relationship with the #EU firmly in focus.
The longer term trend is equally important. Armenia's exports to the European Union are now more than 71% higher than during the same period in 2017.
Consistent #export growth signals two things that matter most when evaluating a market: reliable access to external demand and the capacity to scale production to meet it.
Armenia is not simply exporting more โ its trade is diversifying further toward Europe, deepening ties with one of the world's largest markets.

Building a #manufacturing base in the South Caucasus? Here's what #Armenia gives you back.
Armenia now rewards manufacturers who move up the value chain. If your product qualifies as "economically complex" (tech ranking 0.2+), the state co-funds your growth at every stage: #launch, #scaleup, and #reinvestment.
The government backs qualifying manufacturers with:
โ
10% of capital investment refunded at production launch
โ
5% more once quarterly sales hit 10% of your capex
โ
20% back, annual cap = profit tax + half of payroll tax paid
If you're evaluating where to site or expand production in the region, let's talk. Enterprise Armenia will break down which incentives your product qualifies for and what they add up to.

#Armenia already has key foundations in place: a nearly 60,000 strong tech workforce, a public-private engineering and manufacturing hub (Engineering City by #EIF), and general R&D operations from global players including #Synopsys, #NVIDIA, #Cisco, and #Siemens.
This base positions Armenia to move beyond R&D services toward production-integrated tech assembly, including for #greentech components.
As businesses navigate the tightening decarbonization pressure across supply chains, Armenia's capabilities open a specific opportunity at the intersection of technology and sustainability.
