🗣Today we held our AGM & election of our Board of Directors and Branch Representatives. This was followed by an excellent talk from guest speaker Claire Shephard, Head of Children and Families @Mencap_NI

We were delighted to join the staff and management committee of Killyman Community Playgroup, as well as the @Education_NI Minister, to celebrate 40 years of making a difference for local children, families and the wider community.

Education Minister Paul Givan visited Killyman Community Playgroup this week. He met playgroup Leader Diane Wright, staff, children, Early Years Chief Operating Officer Audrey Rainey and local representatives.
The Minister joined in play-based learning activities and discussed key issues including the pre-school standardisation programme.

The Health Minister has approved changes to some key areas of childcare regulation, including Adult: Child ratios for childminding.
The implementation date for the new childminding ratios has been extended to 9 November 2026.

Our CEO attended the @sinnfeinireland Ard Fheis in Belfast over the weekend. Discussions included funding for early learning and childcare and the publication of the final ELC Strategy which closed for consultation last month.
