As I walked into Olappamanna Mana, scenes from various classic Malayalam movies came to mind. However, upon further research, a world of layered history and architecture, extending far beyond its cinematic charm, revealed itself.

For architects, it serves as a classic example of sustainable architecture. For art connoisseurs, it is recognized as the birthplace of modern-day Kathakali. To me, it represents one of the last bastions of traditional Kerala architecture.
