The council’s “war on cars” is being waged on multiple fronts. Most egregiously by the permissive crime environment. However they also serve a vocal minority of bike & “urbanism” advocates.
@DCPoliceUnion Voices "Strong Opposition" to Conn Ave Bike Plan. The lanes "would have significant adverse effects on public safety & law enforcement activities." More frustrated drivers, frequent lane changes, rear end collisions, & longer police response times would result.

NEW: Today, I’m leading 11 AGs calling for federal action to address the health & safety risks of gas stoves, which emit pollutants that have a disparate negative impact on children & underserved communities and put DC residents at risk of asthma and other respiratory illnesses.
