Imagine going on national TV to complain about the Chancellor not giving you “breathing space” while simultaneously boasting on Instagram about owning six properties
‘John Healey, if you’re listening, where’s my breathing space?’
Business owner Paul Bowen has criticised the Chancellor’s promise to give ‘breathing space’ through measures in his Budget.

Weird that he's got no breathing space, considering he's on instagram boasting about his 6 house portfolio...?

Genuinely grotesque that Meghan polls only 16 points better than Andrew. Whatever her faults, the villainisation is absurd.

Literally the absolute litmus test of can this fanbase get behind any manager and give him any kind of time.
If you’re not willing to give a manger you were crying at the club for not being able to appoint time, no manager ever will.
Seems the inevitable has happened for some on here. Two months in and now Alonso is a bad manager.
From thinking we could never appoint such a manager, to now he’s actually not good enough.
It’s a legacy from Roman and the main reason Chelsea fans get taken the piss out of.

Once again, much of the British public in complete denial about the scale of intergenerational injustice which now defines the 2020s.
Some criticism of this being beneath a PM totally misses the fact that this isn’t just an everyday annoyance, the behaviour of enforcement companies is seen as emblematic of a rigged/exploitative system and is entirely the sort of cause of misery people want a govt to tackle.

The way people are carrying on about that poor man who was mauled to death by that tiger, like would it kill you to have just a little compassion? Use your senses, you’re telling me you’ve watched that and still came to the conclusion that that isn’t a vulnerable person?

I was disappointed by his comments suggesting Abdi-Wali was selected because she's a Black woman in a headscarf. She has lived locally all her life and is the leader of Camden Council - as strong a background for a local MP as you could ask for.
By all means call her a career politician. Say she backed Starmer with one eye on the seat. The whole party had to, and that's how you get selected in a legacy party. Say she didn't speak out on the issues you care about; question her record; demand scrutiny; All fair game.
But suggesting she couldn't hold her own views, or couldn't have got where she is on merit, because she's a woman in a headscarf? That’s cynical and sexist.
It’s also manipulative to explain the Greens' struggle to campaign against her as progressives being too soft to criticise a former child refugee. She's a 42-year-old woman running a council with a budget of over £300 million.
The Green argument can’t both be “we must have more global majority people elected” and when another party elects ‘global majority’ politicians to turn around and say “oh these are all over-promoted puppets”. This is why identity politics is unworkable.

It is SO easy to not be a prick and use someone’s preferred pronoun. If you’re gonna be a bigot then no one is probably gonna change your mind but They/Them is grammatically correct FOR ANYONE!
