Yay to all the chefs and cooks who help me access Korean-influenced cooking on my own when I am too far away from family to share a table of mom's home-cooked Korean food together. Can't wait to dig through this latest book! So much talent out there!

Oh Happy Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is February 17 and our front door is open! What a spectacular day to come browse in the sale lot. Wear a spring jacket.
Writers really be like I've kept a journal written in ink made from my own tears since I was six years old but I don't think I'm a writer. – at Prairieville, LA

Like many others, we have been alarmed by the censorship of diverse titles across the country and the treatment of educators who are already facing extraordinarily difficult circumstances with the pandemic. Here's how we plan to address these problems. ow.ly/6IfX50HPsQ0

With bills being enacted across the country to make it hard to teach about Black history, racism and the fight for equality, #BHM2022 feels particularly important. A reminder for teachers/libraries, we have a free site to help you teach the truth. 1619education.org

Aspiring novelists should apply to this (& any other program) that allows them the time to invest in their craft with great focus & priority. It also links writers to a built-in community of support. You don't have to have any fancy degrees or formal experience to apply!
Apply to @GrubWriters Novel Incubator, the only MFA-level intensive in which you workshop your full ms TWICE with a fine team of 10 fellow novelists in an 11-month program whose benefits extend years after w our alum core & our stellar pub record. Info: grubstreet.org/programs/inte…

It's also worth noting that you should apply to opportunities again even if you've applied before and didn't make it the last time(s). Writers grow over time. Just because you didn't make it into a program/fellowship/residency once, doesn't mean you'll never make it.
