First you gotta go to hell about it, cry blood, scream for respite and then you gotta start letting a chuckle in until eventually it becomes a real giggle and before u know it one of the funniest stories w/ ya besties years down the line

The thing about Google clearing a forest in Finland without permits is that they decided that whatever fine they might face is worth it. It doesnโ€™t cost them as much as not getting the land cleared. Because like ALL things, if the punishment is a fine, it isnโ€™t really illegal for rich people.

you can be as grown & mature as you want at a young age, but you really cannot rush life. you just do not see things the same as life & age refines you. ageism be damned because it's truly a blessing to live long enough to [hopefully] grow, change your mind/perspective, heal, etc

Reading Linden Hills for the next two weeks in the gender and literary geography class. One of the most important novels of the 20th century in my opinion! Also trying to organize a community read of this in December too ๐Ÿ‘€

Nina Simone reading a poem off the page which looks like she plucked it from the spine of live book like a clipped and transplanted wing, in concert. We need some performers to do this now to encourage people to learn to read again

i am no longer afraid of things falling apart. i have seen what happens after the worst of it. the sun still rises, people still laugh, new things still begin, and one day, you find yourself happy about something you once thought you would never recover from.

BREAKING: Taybeh, the last entirely Palestinian Christian village in the West Bank, is under a complete blockade by Israeli forces: no one allowed in or out. I spoke with a resident of Taybeh who described the impact of the movement restrictions: "You canโ€™t plan your day. Checkpoints close suddenly and you get stuck and delayed and your day gets messed up. Itโ€™s frustrating, it wastes you time, you get emotionally and physically drained. What bothers me the most is youโ€™re no longer in control of your life becasue youโ€™re no longer in control of your time, your route or your plans. You start working out your day according to the closures, change appointments, cancel and postpone things you have to get done. They control your movement, so they control you."

Oh God, send us a brave friend who will donate $500, enough for the whole week. God is innocent and smiles when they donate. chuffed.org/project/139169-hโ€ฆ I swear to you, today my children are sleeping without food and they are saying, "Dad, why did you have us now?"
