SPF has a hard limit of 10 DNS lookups. Number 11 returns a permanent error. Zoho Mail’s include alone uses 5 of them (live DNS, 12 Oct). Count yours.

Send the same email word for word to 500 people and it reads like a blast. Emailchaser’s AI spintax words each one a little differently: subject, body and signature, in one click.

Gmail grades every domain that sends to it: Compliant, Needs work, or No data found, on 5 rules for everyone and 3 more for bulk senders. The grades are in Postmaster Tools, under Compliance status.

Emailchaser has no open tracking, and that's on purpose. In a study of 31 million cold emails, campaigns with open tracking off got 68% more replies: 7.4% vs 4.4%.

Every cold email needs 3 things under CAN-SPAM: 1. A real postal address 2. A clear opt-out, honored within 10 business days 3. A subject line that matches the email Top FTC penalty: up to $53,088 per email. B2B isn't exempt.

Pro is $47 a month, $564 a year paid monthly. Paid annually it's $451.20, so $112.80 back. Break-even is 9.6 months: if you are not sure you'll still be sending in month 10, monthly is the honest default. Run the same math on whatever tool you use before you take the discount.

A lot of cold email tools count a reply only if it still matches the original thread ID. Forward 1 reply from a different client and watch it vanish from your reply rate. Ask your vendor what they match on when the thread ID breaks. "Nothing" means you are undercounting.

"reverse email lookup" does 9,900 searches a month at SEO difficulty 18, and it has held that volume for 12 months. "cold email software" does 480. Check which of those two pages your site actually has.

In two years, setting up outbound by hand will look like hand-coding a landing page does now. Buying domains, connecting mailboxes, building the list, writing the sequence, triaging replies: none of it takes judgment. Deciding who is worth emailing does.

Buying more mailboxes is the standard fix for a deliverability problem, and it buys time. Complaints are a share of the people you email, so splitting the same sends across 10 inboxes leaves that share identical and each inbox takes longer to show it. Then you buy more domains.

One-click migration is real right up to the inbox. Then it stops: no email provider will hand another tool your mailbox credential, so every Google and Microsoft inbox reconnects one OAuth consent at a time. Ours does too. The only bulk path is IMAP app passwords.

Send yourself one of your cold emails and hover a link. If the domain isn't yours, every click routes through a redirect you don't control, and that domain gets scored before your copy. Emailchaser has no click tracking. You lose the click count and I think that trade is obvious.

Half the merge fields in a cold email exist to break it. First name and company earn their place. Every extra token is one more column that can render blank in front of a stranger, and you find out in the reply. Two is my ceiling. Sort the import and delete the empties.

A company announces a funding round on Tuesday and spends the rest of the week deleting near-identical congratulations emails, every one fired off the same press release. If a trigger is one API call away for everyone selling to that company, it is a queue you stand in.

Two campaigns sending from the same mailbox do not get you two daily send limits. They share one. We queue the older campaign first, every first email before any follow-up, and roll the overflow to the next day. So a new campaign quietly pushes back follow-ups already in flight.

You reply "not interested" and four days later the follow-up lands anyway. That is a campaign sending on a schedule without reading its own replies. Every prospect it burns was a prospect who bothered to answer you.

A same-thread follow-up has no subject line. That one detail broke our campaign importer for a while: the schema required a subject, validation failed, and the whole import aborted and retried. Same-thread follow-ups now inherit the opening email's subject.

A parody LinkedIn post generator hit the Hacker News front page yesterday at 469 points. Cold email is next and it deserves it. Once enough people automate the same voice it stops being writing and becomes a genre, and the reader clocks the genre before the first sentence lands.
