also, this is the obvious sign that you haven't done any fundraising before. and, even worse, VCs will quesiton your ability to succefully close other rounds or talk to top tier VCs.

so instinct quietly rewrote its terms yesterday. the "perpetual and irrevocable" license over everything you hand them - including for AI training - is gone.
that clause survived until 2 days after TC called it out, and right as the founder came out of stealth. good change, loud timing.
worth noting: they can still train on your data unless you opt out, and deleting what they already indexed still takes an explicit request.
