We mourn the passing of Patrick Stewart, who inspired countless individuals at NASA (and beyond) to boldly go where no one has gone before.

"We connected immediately. We were feeling the same, and he laughed in the moments that he has to laugh. And so I was very pleased that he got it from the first moment."
I wish we had a video of their first script reading together. Just imagine Tom having so much fun listening to Alejandro read the script like a 8-year-old kid! โบ๏ธ

A lot of people remember Patrick Stewart as a powerhouse of a dramatic actor, and rightfully so, but the man's sense of comedic timing was also stellar. His role in L.A. Story makes me wish he did more in comedy than mostly brief cameos.

Patrick Stewart. Turned up so early and so unobtrusively to be a star in the reasonably priced car, we mistook him for a delivery driver and asked him to go round the back. Took his hat off and said, โBut Iโm the captain of the Enterpriseโ. Fucking nice guy.

โJean-Luc, wherever you go, we go.โ
This actor and this character taught me so much not only about humanity and aspirations for us as human beings but what controlled passion and focus can do to bring about positive change in this world and within ourselves.
Truly a sad day. ๐๏ธ
Rest In Peace, Captain. ๐
