mystics have always said that the universe is a song but they forgot to mention that the song in question is actually a banger
Bir biyolog, ormandaki bir mantarın biyolojik aktivitesini synthesizer’a bağladı. Mantardan gelen sinyaller, enstrümandan müzik olarak duyuldu.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Bu video Bionic and the Wires sanat projesinden. Bir biyolog değil sanatçılar tarafından yapılmış kurulumdur; mantarın biyoelektrik sinyalleri robotik kolları tetikleyerek enstrümandan müzik üretir. youtube.com/watch?v=NbP2Dg… youtube.com/watch?v=LEkvjz… goodnewsnetwork.org/bionic-arms-en… themusicman.uk/manchester-mus…

This technique is too powerful to release on here. Maybe on the substack. Maybe for the droogs.
Write down the greatest version of you and rehearse until it's true.

Clarity of purpose changes everything. Clarity of purpose means having a deep, sharp understanding of what you want to achieve, why it matters, and how your daily actions connect to that larger vision. It acts as an inner compass that drives resilience, filters out distractions, and guides long-term decisions.

I spent the evening learning how to use Obsidian because someone mentioned it below. It’s a game changer. I uploaded years of research into the vault and had Claude link everything up. It’s a massive research history and it’s now all interactive. Now Claude is pulling my entire chat history anytime I had it research a stock and drop it in here. That will take 2-3 days lol. Then going forward every evening everything I research will automatically be dropped in the vault. The amount of power this database will have should be stunning. There will be a point where most of the grunt work is fully automated and then all I need to do is make executive decisions on if I should buy a stock or sell it. Incredible.
Every Sunday I try to spend a good few hours building something with AI that will help streamline my research process for equity research. Right now I am building a tool that will track every company I am invested in or interested in and send me an email every morning if something notable occurred with the stock or industry they are in. I am curious how you guys are leveraging AI to enhance your equity research?

The single most powerful meta-skill is comandeering STATE CONTROL. How quickly you can swap between mental states: Introspective to extroverted. Critical to creative. Stimulated to relaxed. Aggressive to gentle. Rational to emotional. Guarded to open. Learning to state shift is a skill in and of itself. This one skill will allow you to accomplish more, experience more, and to simply LIVE more. Everybody knows somebody like this because they're simply so extraordinary you don't forget it when you see it. Takes monk-level nervous system control.

If your AI agents aren't already picking the news you read every day, you're behind. Karpathy just did the same thing for YouTube. Claude filtered 43M Hacker News comments down to 6,454 videos in about 2 hours, even swapping the clickbait thumbnails for a frame from the middle of each video. Soon everyone will build their own feeds for every app they scroll. It's how you escape dead internet theory and endless AI slop. He even shared his process and put the data on the site as a zip so you can point Grok Bot, Claude or another agent at it. Stop letting the algorithm decide what you read and watch. Get to work bros.
Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5: hackertube.org/ - Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session) - Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads - Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version - HackerTube Longs ✊ A bit more on the process: I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing. Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

A framework for spotting outliers: 1) Obsession to a level you do not see in any normal human. This is someone who, after a 10-hr day, opens their laptop at 10pmand reads payment regulations until 3am. They tune out most other things in their life. 2) Most make you uncomfortable in the first few minutes of meeting them; they are not rude but there is an intensity to how they talk that sits outside the range of a normal conversation. You get the sense this person is wired tighter than most, almost to the point of being unhinged, but not so unhinged that they stop listening to feedback. 3) They have incredibly quirky/unusual personalities (not always chalked up to neurodivergence). They are into music, sports, books most people have never heard of. Their career paths don’t always make sense and are often highly non-linear. 4) A history of hardship: Immigrant households or children raised by single parents, or people who grew up watching a sibling/parent fall seriously ill. The hardship itself does not cause the success, but it gives the person a relationship with risk that 99% of people cannot handle. 5) They have a strong desire to prove a specific person wrong; A teacher who told them they would not amount to much, or a classmate or a coach or an ex-boss who made it clear they did not belong. One CEO we met keeps a framed letter from their 6th-grade teacher on the office wall explaining why they would never amount to anything as an adult.

A hilariously effective method getting yourself to stick to shit for a ridiculously long time: “Just commit for 1 day.” And do that over and over You’ll be shocked at what that does. Brain finds long distance planning painful. But can conceptualise “today” with ease.
