Large crowds have turned out in central London at a vigil for the former Cambridge University professor Jason Arday - who was found dead last week. Almost 100,000 people have now signed a petition drawn up by the Good Law project calling for an immediate public inquiry. They claimed his death was the direct result of the sustained press harrassment which Mr Arday was subjected to - and said racism lay at the heart of the story.

249 articles in 22 days on one Black professor. 188 in the 9 days from resignation to death. Every stage was racism and profit. The dossier. The rebranding. The volume. The public lynching. The obituary. Now the debate about the pile-on. One media industry. Paid at every stage. RIP Professor Jason Arday.👇🏾

Replying to @RealCandaceO
Would love to see @realcandaceo stand for the proposed @endworkabusenow Workplace Psychological Safety Act beacuse her past employer is stalking and harassing her. This is the exact nature of behavior the ACT proposes to STOP / hold legally accountable.

10 yrs ago I sued former Fox News' CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment. Many others followed. So many of us continue to work every day to make workplaces safer for everyone - and we will never stop lifting up all people. Thank you! @LiftOurVoicesUS @julieroginsky

The question isn't whether workplace abuse exists. The question is whether we'll continue accepting it. House leadership: please move HB 8505 forward before adjournment. @CBlazejewski @KathSKazarian @GovDanMcKee @riaflcio @AFTunion @UAW @SEIU @JobsWithJustice @NELPNews @nwlc

60 MILLION private sector workers are currently stripped of their right to take their employers to court due to forced arbitration. As @brendan_ballou pointed out on @KQEDForum. this secret justice system ensures that corporate wrongdoers stay protected while "overwhelmingly, employees lose." It’s time to pull back the curtain and PROTECT WORKERS. kqed.org/forum/2010101913824…

Every worker deserves to go to work without fear of intimidation, humiliation, retaliation, or coordinated abuse. Rhode Island can help make that expectation a reality. @CBlazejewski @KathSKazarian @GovDanMcKee @riaflcio @AFTunion @UAW @SEIU @JobsWithJustice @liftourvoices

If psychological safety improves performance, retention, and innovation, why wouldn't we want every Rhode Island workplace striving for it? HB 8505 creates accountability and prevention. @CBlazejewski @KathSKazarian @GovDanMcKee @riaflcio @SEIU @NELPNews @liftourvoicesUS @nwlc
