History has been made in Jakarta! The first-ever World Engineering Day in Asia Pacific has successfully concluded! From March 3-5, 2026, Balai Kartini became the global stage for innovation, sustainability, and collaboration. Bringing together 600 delegates representing 39 nations, weโ€™ve spent three incredible days diving deep into SMART Engineering, AI ethics, and sustainable infrastructure. From the grand Welcoming Reception at Jakarta City Hall to the high-level visionary panels, the energy was truly unmatched. A heartfelt thank you to all our partners and the global engineering community for making #WED2026 an unforgettable milestone. The roadmap to a sustainable future starts now! See you at #WorldEngineeringDay 2027! #WEDJakarta #EngineersForSDGs

3.4 billion people. No plumbing. No electricity. Less than $0.05 per person per day. That's the scaleโ€”and the solutionโ€”behind ISO 30500, an international standard for non-sewered sanitation systems developed through global collaboration, led by ANSI and @AssociationAsn. In honor of our official partnership with World Engineering Day 2026 (proclaimed by UNESCO), we're sharing a new video featuring ANSI president and CEO Laurie Locascio, senior director of international development Leslie McDermott, and Elhadji Abdourahmane Ndione of ASN, highlighting exactly how standards drive real-world engineering impact. World Engineering Day @engineering_day launches today in Jakarta, Indonesia. This year's themeโ€”Smart engineering for a sustainable future through innovation and digitalizationโ€”is a call to action we take seriously every day. Learn more: Ansi.link/WED-2026.
