🚨 Virgil van Dijk on Trabzonspor’s reported interest and the possibility of reuniting with Mohamed Salah: 🎙️ Interviewer: “Virgil, there are rumours that Trabzonspor would love to bring you in and reunite you with Mohamed Salah. With only this season remaining on your Liverpool contract, should fans take these links seriously? Van Dijk: “Listen, I understand why people are talking. Mo is there, and from everything he tells me, he is enjoying himself enormously” “He sends me messages about the club, the supporters, the atmosphere and how beautiful the place is. Sometimes I think he is trying to convince me to come over and join him! I tell him, ‘Mo, relax! You only just got there, and already you want to bring the whole Liverpool dressing room with you!’ “But honestly, the way he speaks about Trabzonspor and the people there is special. You can feel that they have welcomed him with so much love, and as a footballer, that means a lot. Football is not only about money or trophies; it is also about feeling wanted and appreciated” Interviewer: “So, would you consider joining him? Van Dijk: “I have enormous respect for Liverpool. This club and these supporters mean so much to me, and I will never treat that lightly. But it is also true that my contract situation means there will naturally be questions about what comes next” “I am not going to sit here and promise people something about my future when I haven’t made that decision. Who knows what the future will bring? Football has surprised me many times before” “And if Mo keeps sending me pictures of the food, the fans and the atmosphere over there, I might eventually have to tell him to stop advertising Trabzonspor to me! “For now, my focus is Liverpool. But one thing I will say: when someone you respect tells you that a club and its people are amazing, you listen. Let’s see what the future holds.” A season left on his Liverpool contract. Salah already telling him how beautiful Trabzonspor is. And Van Dijk refusing to completely shut the door.
