Ben Wikler should be the next head of the DNC. That's a fighting choice. Someone who has demonstrated the kind of persistent and effective party building and infrastructure building that generates results. Dems didn't win Wisconsin this year. But it was the closest ...

If this is really going to be an issue it really suggests terrible planning. no ones finger signature looks anything like they're written one.
Nevada’s secretary of state, seeing high number of rejected ballots in Clark and Washoe, says one of the biggest issues is that the signatures of younger voters don’t always match what’s on their driver’s licenses: “It’s mostly the fact that young people don’t have signatures these days. And when they did register to vote through the automatic voter registration process, they signed a digital pad at D.M.V., and that became their license signature.” nytimes.com/live/2024/11/05/…

It’s pretty wild that this central part of Trumps campaign, putting an insanely ruinous 10% tariff on everything is only now getting some attn. or to think that the central policy of the guy running on defeating inflation is actually a policy to dramatically increase inflation. This is among everything else a pretty conspicuous press failure.

Good to point out this essential feature of Trumpism, a melange of "fuck your feelings" and "lighten up" mixed with performative outrage & feigned agony over insults that in most cases never happened.

Politico Playbook led with 21 paragraphs about Biden’s intentionally misinterpreted statement and 1 paragraph on Mike Johnson committing to overhaul Obamacare which would impact millions of Americans. Well done, guys. Well done.

The Trump campaign strongly condemns the offensive Puerto Rico jokes, all of which were vetted and loaded into a teleprompter by the Trump campaign

In other words, more violent pro-Trump terrorists at work.

Note that Vancouver, WA, is the biggest source of Dem votes in WA-03 (which went about 50%-46% for Trump overall). Vancouver has ~200k people and is the main city in Clark County, a county that provided about 70% of all WA-03 Dem votes in 2020. Here's a 2020 pres precinct map:

Journalists have spent decades trying to prove how not-liberal they are by grading conservatives on a curve, and outright sanewashing Donald Trump. Now that the media is broken and liberals are done putting up with it, those same journalists can’t handle it

I'm having a dilemma of thought. If I didn't see what a douche bag Mel Gibson was in all those movies I enjoyed before he came out as a douche bag, he may be a great actor. I don't know how to file that.

So anyway… Still have questions about why the DNC gave influencers the same access as mainstream journalists?

The more I talk about the election the more shocked I am by how many people memory holed 2016-2020. Every day was a new horror. New emergencies popped up constantly. I fundamentally don’t understand how people seemingly forgot about all of it.
