“England: we're going to have to opt out of that one.”
This has aged magnificently.
It speaks to astounding talent that they could make 17th-century geopolitics hilarious to a 21st-century audience.

How shamefully tone deaf.
This woman asked JD Vance how the Trump Admin expects people to start families when they can’t afford a home.
His answer? “I've only gotten one question about Jon Husted's ass.”

32-year-old Ryan Dinnage, who was part of Nigel Farage’s security team, has been jailed for eight and a half years for raping a woman while she slept in a caravan.
He was charged in 2025, was still protecting Nigel Farage in April and May 2026, and was convicted in June.

"They killed us." Novaya Gazeta, the venerable investigative Russian newspaper whose reporting staff included the slain Anna Politkovskaya and at least five others who were killed or died under suspicious circumstances, announced it was shutting down.

Patrick Stewart, who died today at 86, became Professor X and Captain Picard. As a boy, he watched his father beat his mother, and heard the doctors who came to help tell her it was her own fault.
In the video below, a woman thanks him for helping her survive her own abuse, and his answer brings the whole room to its feet.
He grew up in a poor mill town in England. His father came home from World War II a different man and turned his violence on Patrick's mother.
Every time the doctors and ambulance men came, they told her she must have provoked him, that it takes two to make an argument.
Decades later, Stewart learned from his father's war records that he had been suffering from severe shell shock that was never treated.
So he spent the rest of his life working for two charities: one for abused women, in his mother's name, and one for traumatized soldiers, in his father's.
He could have spent his life hating his father. Instead, he spent it helping others. Is that the kind of legacy that matters more than fame?

Sen. Ted Cruz: If the election were over today, Republicans would lose massively. It won’t be close. We’d lose both the Senate and the House. It would be a bloodbath.
We could lose every single statewide race in Texas.

My student loans were taken out based on generous income based repayment plans with monthly payments of around $500.
Now thanks to Trump killing off the SAVE plan for no reason but he hated Biden it will be ballooning to $1400 a month and will end up at 4Xs the loan amounts.
How do I sue for breech of contract??

Sen Whitehouse notes that many Floridians file claims (especially after storms) and receive $0, points to problems with Citizens Property Insurance depopulating policies to private insurers that may not pay claims reliably or promptly
Many people are forced into either higher cost companies like Slide ( where the husband and wife owners EACH made $21 million and $16 million in 2024) … or fifth tier companies with horrible service and record of payments
This can has been kicked down the road for years by the Republican Party, and if anything, they have passed laws that benefit insurance companies, making it nearly impossible to sue them for underpayment or lack of payment
Why? Because from the current governor down, they are in the pockets of the industry taking millions in donations to look the other way as WE get screwed
Byron has said that he will continue the DeSantis agenda that has allowed this to happen

In today's Whitehouse on a Halloween party we a kid wearing a russian military uniform with a modern russian tank forces patch featuring Armata tank.
This is a carefully crafted political message by someone in Trump's inner circle.
This isn't a coincidence.
Troops wearing this patch are currently pillaging and raping Ukrainian children, while their supporters and enablers sends their kids to celebrate Halloween with the USA president.

I'm not here to tell you, but more to remind you, that the polls are pretty much all over the place, and rarely is polling accurate.
Please, over the weekend, text 5 friends each day and remind them to vote. Pretend we are down by 2 points in every race and need to turn out our vote to win - act with that level of urgency.
You might feel like I am preaching to the converted, but not so long along in 2024, people seemed super revved up, but many did not end up showing up to vote. We can all do our part in these final 5 days to turn out low propensity voters in our circles.
There is so much at stake for our country, and its direction. Do all that you can in these final days. And spread the word.
Thank you! 📷

Former U.S. Marshal and Chief of Police: In 48 years in law enforcement, I’ve never done something like this. But right now, I feel compelled to speak up.
Mike Collins violated the public’s trust. Collins voted to cover up the Epstein files, even after he knew fourteen-year-old girls had been raped. He tried to tell us it was a “hoax.”
Jon Ossoff exposed child trafficking and passed a law to stop it. Jon is protecting our kids.

Reform UK has again been exposed as deeply racist, misogynistic and Islamophobic.
ITV News’ recent investigation uncovered multiple examples of racist, misogynistic and Islamophobic conduct involving people across the party. Taken together with the growing body of evidence, these incidents point to a toxic culture, one that makes Reform dangerous and unfit to govern.
That’s why I’ve signed Afzal Khan MP’s letter calling on the Equality and Human Rights Commission to investigate Reform UK and determine whether it has breached the Equality Act.
