My daughter works full time here in Texas. Let me run her numbers.
State minimum wage is $7.25. She's making $16.
Forty hours a week equals $640 weekly.
That’s roughly $2,700 a month before taxes.
Texas has no state income tax—the thing they sell you on. So after federal and FICA she takes home roughly $2,300.
Average one-bedroom in our city runs about $1,550.
That’s 67% of her entire paycheck gone to rent before she eats a single meal.
Leaves her around $750 a month for:
- groceries
- gas
- car insurance
- health insurance
- phone
- emergencies
- savings
Car insurance alone eats a huge chunk of that in this state.
She works 40 hours a week and cannot save a dollar. Not because she's careless because there's nothing left to be careless with.
I spent thirty years paying off a house here. She's doing the same job I did at her age and she can't afford a basic apartment.
That's not a discipline problem. That's not avocado toast.
The floor moved and nobody lowered the ceiling.
Working full time should cover a roof. In Texas it barely covers the rent on one.

That time Sean Spicer lied and said Trump's inauguration crowd was bigger than Obama's and got dragged relentlessly. Trump STILL is intimidated by and jealous of President Obama's popularity and the respect he attracts, knowing he will never achieve even a fraction of that.
Trump quit the campaign trail because Obama's crowds were YUGE. Got exposed and now slinks back in... youtu.be/7JkoN0mFTV8?si=Ygbq… via @YouTube

This is easily THE most DEVASTATING clapback I have ever heard, by any candidate, from either party. trump said he wants metal detectors for El-Sayed.
El-Sayed says sure, but lie detectors for YOU.
First question: EPSTEIN.
He is SO good at this.🔥

🚨BREAKING: A Federal court just struck down CMS’s rule imperiling Medicaid coverage for countless cancer patients!
For months I’ve led an effort opposing the agency’s efforts as both cruel AND illegal.
We’ll keep fighting on behalf of cancer patients across the country.

Why is sending billions to Israel called foreign aid, but spending billions helping Americans is suddenly fucking socialism?

Dan Sullivan also recently received around $10,000 in campaign donations from Epstein associates.

During her adolescence, Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski constructed a functioning aircraft from an assembly kit and piloted the vehicle independently by the age of sixteen. Today, the prominent theoretical physicist, frequently compared to Albert Einstein by academic peers, conducts research aimed at uncovering the fundamental mathematical structure governing the cosmos. She currently serves as a faculty member at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Ontario, Canada, where she manages the Celestial Holography Initiative.
Her primary research focuses on quantum gravity, a profound challenge in modern physics centered on reconciling Albert Einstein's general relativity, which explains macro-scale gravity, space, and time, with quantum mechanics, which dictates the behavior of subatomic particles. Within this domain, she has formulated a novel structural framework designed to describe the essential physics of our universe.
This model, known as celestial holography, maps bulk gravitational interactions onto a lower-dimensional boundary. The paradigm conceptualizes the universe similarly to a standard hologram, suggesting that four-dimensional spacetime phenomena can be mathematically encoded on a vast, distant spherical boundary encompassing the cosmos, mirroring the way a flat surface stores a three-dimensional visual image. Pasterski notes that the highly specialized nature of this advanced framework limits meaningful discussion of her research to a few thousand experts globally.
Her path to high-energy physics deviated significantly from traditional academic trajectories. After completing her experimental aircraft construction as a teenager, she attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 2013 with the highest achievable grade point average in the physics department. She subsequently pursued graduate studies at Harvard University, earning a doctorate in 2019.
During her doctoral work, she co-discovered a novel manifestation of infrared physics known as the spin memory effect. This phenomenon represents a permanent, physical distortion or angular momentum imprint left behind in the fabric of spacetime after the passage of gravitational waves. While these concepts currently remain entirely theoretical, they establish a foundational roadmap for ongoing investigations into quantum gravity.

Even more disturbing, the man ICE claimed it was pursuing reportedly DIED nearly a decade ago, according to his family.
Pelley: One of the stories that CBS sought to kill on 60 Minutes was our story about the capitulation of the law firms. And the Trump administration, after that story was on the air, called the leadership of CBS in California and said, “We’re going to sue you for that. We’re going to sue you.”
Ultimately, they didn’t, but to that point, that was one of the stories that caused so much trouble with CBS.
