Queen Latifah’s new CBS show where she finds the bad guys and kicks butt “I’m the one you call when you can’t call 911”... is the silver lining in a bad 2021... of course, if Latifah had been defending the Capitol we would have had no mob insurrection this week:

Nebraska is the ONLY FBS team to lead entering the fourth quarter in every game this season. The Huskers also lead the FBS in losses (3) after holding a lead at the start of the fourth quarter.

Illinois with a win at the buzzer… to go to 5-3. 3 straight wins after it looked like the season was over. They still need an upset in one of their final three games to make a bowl…

Bielema won as an underdog for the 15th time at Illinois, the second-most underdog wins in the nation since he took over in 2021. Only Old Dominion has won more games as an underdog since 2021 (16). Illinois improved to 8-2 following bye weeks under Bielema.

Illini with a huge comeback upset against the Oregon Ducks. Illinois wins 21-10 on a beautiful Saturday in Champaign.

Sad to hear about Tom Skerritt. They don’t make shows like Picket Fences anymore: a family drama about a Midwest town with quirks & ethical moral debates. But at its heart some fantastic performances by Tom Skerritt and Kathy Baker. (And a tv theme song that’s simply beautiful…

I totally agree. For nostalgia sake it’s how most of us read them AND it’s the one taught in elementary schools AND it has the better story. It’s frustrating that they decided to start this series with a handicap.

I highly doubt the test screenings have gone poorly for the reasons most people think. I imagine the story doesn’t make sense because, as I keep saying, ITS NOT THE FIRST BOOK. So much of TMN relies on knowledge from previous books.

I was hoping the new Baywatch would still have the most ridiculous plots and the trailer seems to fulfill that criteria. Nostalgia! FOX hasn’t announced it yet but I’m guessing they will show the pilot after NFL playoff football (nfc championship game maybe) in January.
